Today was one of those whirlwind days. Halloweens parties, parades at the school, no naps, no time to pause and reflect … just go go go.
Ethan enjoyed being “Bob the Builder”. He had his own party at the library this morning. He is growing up so much. Enjoying having his own thing, his own interests, not being a tag along with his older sister.
Becca was thrilled to see me at the school. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy! I went in the afternoon and helped with costumes, then watched the school parade around the gym in their Halloween attire. Afterward Ethan, Cordi and I joined Becca and her class for a little Halloween party. Becca chose her costume that I created last year!
Meanwhile, Cordi decked out in her bunny costume basked in all the “Ooooo’s” and “Ahhh’s”, content to tag along and soak it all in. She is such a cool baby.
My favourite part of the day was coming home, the weather was warm so the three kids and I played in the backyard. Talked, ran around, buried each other in leaves and had so much fun. It was so nice to be active with them and enjoy them.
Tomorrow we will head out through our neighborhood, trick or treating. To think last year at this time we were not even in our house yet!
Hope you all have a safe and fun Halloween! What are your plans for the weekend?

Sounds awesome – have a great day tomorrow!

Hi Chelle! Glad to see everyone is doing great and having fun!…not to mention healthy! Cordelia is soooo beautiful! as are Becca and Ethan too of course! (Funny how people always comment on the babies hey? Drove me nuts so I try not to do it!!) Across the water I seem to be overworked with the new job and the demands of the kids…feel like we’re never going to meet IRL. We were supposed to be going out trick or treating around our neighborhood tomorrow evening too and then to my brother’s fiance’s bridal shower on Sunday but all that has been put on hold as my middle daughter came home from school today with a high fever and vomiting…so now my priority is keeping her as well as possible…and the rest of us too! Worrisome though, I must admit. I really hope to meet up soon though…looking forward to it!
They look so very cute in their outfits. Looks like a good, fun day even though it was busy.

That’s wonderful! Sounds like everyone had a blast.
We won’t be doing much this halloween. We’re going to be spending the morning at a local H1N1 vaccine clinic and then we’ll be spending the day at home. Once the evening hits we’ll be spending the evening handing out candy to our neighborhood full of kids.
Enjoy your halloween.

I’m amazed that, with a wee one, you’re able to romp around the back yard! All I ever wanted was my hands back. Then again, my kids were particularly NOT into being set down.
You had a terrific day, indeed. Before I had kids, it had never occurred to me how busy the days around holidays are for parents.

what a wonderful day!! I’m so glad you got to go to Becca’s school event. I didn’t get to go to my kids stuff, but luckily my husband did. All the classmates that it was super cool that there was a dad there, LOL!! Happy Halloween to you & yours!

My plans are not the least bit fun. The tax man hath cometh and has frozen my assets so I am spending it with a tax specialist who will hopefully get me out of tax jail. Thankfully the tax specialist says that the tax man owes me money because their assessment doesn’t take into consideration our deductions – like dependents, daycare, child tax credits etc… I may be broke now, but in 2-4 months from now when this is done I will be happy

You have really beautiful kids. Such a handsome Bob the Builder counterpart. I hope to have kids too, in the future. I want to join them trick or treating, like you.
