We had our first snow day yesterday. By western Canadian standards we did not have all that much snow, but it seems to stop time here. Becca, Ethan and even Cordi were totally excited to spend hours upon hours out in the snow (Cordi spent much less time but you get the idea!)
At one point, all my children were busy either outside or sleeping. It was strange and oddly lonely. I watched tv for the first time in forever. It was nice to just relax and be. I have been going going going for a while now. Some of the neighbourhood kids even came over and played in the afternoon.

Ethan had so much fun on the morning, he crashed for a nap (the first one in forever). It was so much fun seeing the kids love the outdoors. Not once did they watch television or proclaim they were bored. My kids are so awesome.

I had a massive headache this morning. For the first time I was unable to complete my workout this morning. I staggered back to bed in tears. I hate failing. My sweet husband, got the kids up, ready for school and walked Becs to school then headed to work. I slept in. It was beautiful. I am still feeling off, but was able to do my workout right before lunch. Cordi watched and almost fell asleep, while Ethan was upstairs looking at books. But I got it done and worked hard at it, so I feel better in that aspect.
My internet has been wonky the last few weeks. Dropping out, or slower than a herd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter. It is really frustrating and since i have like no time for internet anyway, it has really prevented me from commenting. I am reading in reader but then I do not have time to sit with a computer that is acting like a PC on dial up in 1994. I have to find the time (HAHAHA) to fix the issue.
How do you find the time to do it all?

It looks like so much fun! Definitely worth not getting it all done
!
I certainly don’t get everything done. While James was writing this morning I swept half the floor, then I realized it was Thurs. and thought I should flesh out some of my plans for next week. And now those are half done
. So, I get everything half done?
Enjoy your snow!
I’m having a hard time trying to find time to do anything with a 3 month old who’s about ready to pop in two teeth. We JUST moved this past weekend and I just barely got the kitchen put away as well as some laundry done. It doesn’t stop there either. I have so much to do and NO time.

Hey Chelle–those pictures are adorable! I’m glad you guys got to get out & have some playtime.
I went by your post at the beginning of January about The Happiness Project, but it said comments were closed. I just wanted you to know that I finally rec’d my copy from the library, and I devoured the book. Truly truly loved it. So much so that I don’t want to return it, LOL! I just want to put it under my pillow and let her words seep in to my brain while I sleep. Thank you SO much for the recommendation. I have a feeling this is going to be a life changing book for me:)
Ah, looks like so much fun. I’m jealous.

I don’t do it all, but it helps to have a bit of a game plan. When I’m in “on” mode, I have to block out bits of time to try to focus on one thing or other. Plans can change, but it’s still good to have that “appointment” in place.
I also do good by going ADD with different chores and having my hands in everything at once. I’ll do about 15-20 minutes of dishes, then laundry, then dusting, etc. But I don’t have small children at home, so I’m sure it is much easier for me to get things done.

I don’t get it all done. But when I am able to do a lot? I generally manage to get a lot more stuff done when I’m a little ADD with chores and have my hands in everything at once.
I’ll do 15-20 minutes in the kitchen, then in the laundry, then bathrooms, then organizing, etc. Interspersed with frequent tv and/or internet breaks. If my house isn’t a total wreck to begin with, this helps with just keeping it neat. Getting it pulled back together after an illness or other lapse in housekeeping duties requires more focus, of course.
I don’t have small children at home, though, so it is probably a lot easier for me to be this way.

We had a lot of fun in the snow but I know Samantha cannot make it too long and so next year I know will be a blast. That sled looks great and your hubby rocks.
Oh my the video was just too cute, I also love the shot of Ethan pulling Cordi on the sled!
I never find time to do it all, I’d like to but I just don’t. I was happy to just get the kitchen floor cleaned this weekend, just the floor!
