I am in awe of my children.
The greatest moments in my life are when they became apart of it.
My children are my everything.
I am their first role model. I am the person they will look to first and hopefully last. It is my responsibility to show them what it takes to be healthy, fit and happy. I am to guide them, demonstrate healthy eating habits and moderation.
The world will send them messages that will make them question themselves, doubt themselves, hate themselves. They need an anchor. My girls need to know they are beautiful no matter what, how to take care of themselves and the people they love. My boy needs to see it real, to see true beauty and to respect the people he loves.
I work out and take care of myself, so I can be that for them. I am important. I am beautiful. I am their mother. I matter.
I watched the following video at PhD In Parenting … it took my breath away.
I wish I had a Mom to have told me this …
I hope I tell my children this through my actions, words and love … everyday.
Have a fantastic weekend!

Wow. I love that SO much.
nicole @ much more than a mom´s last blog ..Oh Canada! Haiku
Wasn’t that amazing?
Truer words have never been spoken. I strive to be this way, and it’s hard, especially when you have teens who don’t always want you around and act like they don’t want to listen.
Wish all parents felt this way!
This Belle Rocks´s last blog ..Yesterday was not a bad day.
For some reason I can not see the video on your site or the other. I believe I know what video you are talking about, is it by Katherine Center? If not you need to see her video essay on You Tube for the Mom 2.0 Summit.
“And my greatest hope for you, sweet child, is that I can teach you how to write a good one.”
So inspiring.

Wonderful video clip Chelle and thank you for sharing. Yes indeed our kids are so much a part of us that in order to take care of them well, we must first take care of ourselves.
You have a great weekend too Chelle. Big Hugs to all the children ya.
