I had noticed Becca’s teeth were looking different. I mentioned it to J a few days ago, stating her bottom teeth looked like they were spread out more. Well life got busy and we did not have a chance to look.
Her permanent teeth have begun to grow behind her baby teeth, pushing the teeth, spreading them apart! We were so shocked! Her bottom teeth are so not wiggly. So I will be making a dentist appointment for Becca first thing tomorrow. However after reading a few articles the teeth will probably loosen up on their own eventually.
We are all very excited. WOW! Teeth falling out! Tooth Fairy … Time is escaping me. Why do these kids keep growing so fast?!?
What is the going rate for the tooth fairy?!?!

Get her to the dentist, please.
I had a tooth like that, and the baby tooth never did fall out. I had it pulled and ended up needing braces as an adult/mom of 2! Not fun.
Woo hoo!!! adult teeth!!!
The tooth fairy brought Nate $2 for his 1st tooth. I’m not sure if that’s in line or out of line. She will probably bring him another toonie for his 2nd tooth too, which is very loose & may be out by Christmas even.

The Tooth Fairy is generous around here. $5 for the first tooth, then $2 bills each tooth after.

I do a buck a tooth.
We give our kids $2 for the first tooth, and then $1 for each tooth there after… But I have heard some pretty big amounts lately!!

I have heard everything from a loonie a tooth to a dollar in increasing amounts – $1 for first, $2 for 2nd, $3 for 3rd etc. Some kids in my class just get $5/tooth. Some get a gift from the fairy. Whatever flies with Becca I guess!
nicole @ much more than a mom´s last blog ..One may be the loneliest number, but eight is the easiest.
I just was talking to my young cousin the other day, who went through the same thing; I think she had to have the baby teeth removed eventually, as they never loosened!
Tooth fairy rates are political. We always give a dollar, but MANY of the kids at school get $10 a tooth, if you can believe it. We rue the day our girl learned to compare notes with her classmates!

My mom rounded up all the change she could find and would put it in a ziplock bag. We always ended up with like 10 dollars in change. I supposed we’ll do something of the same sort with our kids. Teeth don’t fall out all that often so I don’t think you can give too much.
I clearly give my kids way too much money for teeth (from the comments on your post). I dont give $10 but I give more than $2, that is all I will say
Tell her she is like a shark with many rows of teeth, kids love that!

We give $5, it seemed to be the going rate here
Awww…can’t they just slow down a little?! How very exciting though. Congrats!

Loose teeth already?! I can not believe some of the going rates from the tooth fairy. I use to get 25 cents.

Haha, my kids only got a dollar from the tooth fairy, but I have no idea if that was good or bad.
