The kids are slowly starting to feel better. Becca is still home from school, claiming she needs one more day. She was willing to chill out in bed this morning for over an hour, so I have no doubt she is still feeling yucky. Recovery from this is slow and has come in spurts.
I am so tired. I think my body is fighting the good fight. I feel so new at everything. Like I haven’t been a parent for five years. I don’t like it.
Do you ever feel lke you have to start over? Learn everything new again?

Glad to hear the kids are getting better. I’ve had to learn to run all over again, the irony. I was a cross country runner in high school and college. Go figure
I feel that often!!!!
Am keeping Olivia home today…. not sure she is too sick, but just needing a down-time day.

I think kids change a lot and if you don’t change to support them then you struggle with them. I do some of both
.
Take care so you don’t go down for the count as well.

Kids getting sick, especially more than one at once, is just horrible. I am glad they are on the mend. And then you can take a bit of time to take care of yourself. You have been taking care of them non stop. You need a break. Take Care hon!

Well, I’ve only been a parent for not quite two years, but I think kids being sick could throw even the most seasoned vet of a parent for a major loop!

I am so with you. Not just parenting either; I have spent most of my life starting over. Sometimes it’s maddening. When am I ever going to get to be the grown up? LoL

I swear I feel that way daily…some days I am just so tired and kids being sick are just the worst–tears the life out of me..
Hi Chelle I have just popped over from Gails Blog. Sick kids are a challenge, boy oh boy it looks like you have had a rough few days. I hope your family is feeling much better very soon.
I am excited about the candy swap. Should be heaps of fun!
I have felt that way even with my FOURTH child! But she is different from the others, that’s for sure. I think all parents feel that way from time to time, and when Cordi starts school, you’ll still feel like a new parent.
Oh yeah. I feel that way often. Each new situation has the potential to make me feel like that.

I’ve been feeling lately like I have to learn to think all over again…not only is my brain slipping on stuff, but–on the flip side–I feel like I’m ready to read and take in new ideas.
Hang in there, luvvie.
