The Waiting Game

The Waiting Game

My MIL arrives tomorrow morning. Becca is hosting an outdoor birthday party Saturday. Our Doula is out of town till later Sunday. We have a party to attend Monday afternoon.

THEN

We can have the baby :D

I have had such intense cramping the past few days. I have walked, bathed and tried everything to relieve the pressure and cramps. Nothing worked! I keep moaning to J that this all “BETTER BE … helping” in hopes that all this discomfort will make labour easier. Wishful thinking.

This week has flown by. Becca had a fun birthday, but is very much looking forward to her party. We went shopping for supplies and the like before heading to the doctor on Wednesday. She had her check up and vaccinations. She is the height and weight of a 7-8 year old! Ethan was also weighed and measured. He is not in the 97th percentile like his sister but he is doing alright. I fret a lot about his health since he eats so much less than Becca. The doctor assured me that he was fine.

We have been enjoying the partially sunny days and spending a lot of time outside. It gives me a chance to sit and relax, not force myself to get things done. So I am knitting a lot. I finished a pair of mittens that I hope to give to our Doula (if she can make it to the birth!) They are soooo cute I can hardly wait to knit another pair for myself! They are called Bella Mittens! Aren’t they awesome?!?! I have an awesome toque on the needles for J … I look forward to revealing them to you!

I have been reading the Harry Potter books, in hopes that J & I can sneak out and see the movie this weekend :) Have you seen it? Going to?

Wow! How far are you, now? I know you’re about ready to go and hope that the baby can hold out long enough for you to get your plans and arrangements finished. I can’t believe you’re ready, already.. It feels like just yesterday I was reading that you guys were pregnant again! I am in complete disbelief that I’m already 22w and soon will be at the stage that you are. I only hope that I can manage to get as much done.

Here’s to wishing the best possible labor and delivery for you!

The mittens are so incredibly adorable! And, I would love to see the Harry Potter movie, but I think I’ll be waiting until it comes out on video.

Love, love, love the mittens! Mitten Envy!
Ethan is most likely fine – especially if Becca is growing so fast and obviously needs to consume more to keep up with her body’s needs! We have exactly the same thing with Olivia! She is super tall too!
I hope all the waiting goes as planned! And please give Becca a cyber birthday cuddle from us!

Love the mittens-you are so crafty. I hope you have an amazing time at Becc’as b day party. Maybe you will give birth right after just like I did with Samantha after Max’s party. Once your mind is clear, the baby will come…

You know with all that to do there’s no way the baby’s staying put :-) .

    Love the mitten’s.

I won’t be seeing HP. I’ve never seen one. I was invited to this one, was going to go, saw a preview, and thought, “That’s all wrong.” So, I won’t be going.

Oh I hope all this pain means the labour will be easy for you. Those mits are awesome. I will have to save the pattern (even though I suck at knitting). The kids look great! Enjoy resting. You deserve it.

Gorgeous mittens…and, yes, no baby ’til Tuesday. It’s a leeetle bit weird, how often, through my day, I wonder if you’re in labor yet. Chalk it up to the power of socializing on the Net, eh?

    Fingers crossed for the doula!
