The most unexpected thing? Getting up to pee 6 times a night. And my voice changing. It went REALLY deep. A friend of mine said I sounded like I turned into a chain smoker. My then-husband and I took a trip to his grandmother's, who had a huge place out in the country. We were gathered in the back yard (a HUGE back yard) to play baseball. I was about seven months along and already had a pretty big bump. The husband pitched the ball to me. I told him I was going to really smack the ball, because I wouldn't be able to run. He didn't think I'd even be able to hit the ball, let alone knock it far enough to keep me from having to run, but I did. In fact, I nailed it. It was coming at him FAST, straight for his you-know-what. So...he covered himself with his hands, then decided that wasn't enough, and jumped up in the air spread-eagled. It was hiliarious, and all his teen cousins and his toddler son thought so, too! It took a while for him to live that one down. Never underestimate a pregnant woman, huh? I am glad you're starting to enjoy being pregnant! I was so lucky; I never had many side effects of pregnancy with either of mine. I thought getting pregnant would be awesome because I wouldn't have my period for months. And then it turns out that even if I don't have that visitor, I need to wear the gear because of the sneeze and pee phenomenon. Guaranteed to show up any time you are giving a speech.
