A New Day
We had a fab time at the lake. Although we totally forgot the amazing lunch I had packed in the fridge, so I cruised back to town to pick it up. J thoroughly enjoyed seeing the kids in the water & sand. I am so bummed that it was probably our last trip to the beach this season! I took a ton of pictures that made their way to Flickr.
Over the weekend my head was intense and I slept more than I have since Ethan was an infant! I felt awful, even missed my Saturday run … grrr. I slept most of Sunday too (although I headed out for a short run afterward).
I now have my runs posted in my sidebar. When I purchased my running shoes, J spoiled me and bought the Nike+ to track my progress and give me extra incentive. Knowing the pace and kilometres so makes a difference! I am running 4k (with a 3k run I have when feeling tired), but I want to work up to 5k eventually. It would be nice to get to 5k before the snow falls, but I can only go as fast as my body will allow.
Becca is bursting with excitement that she will be going to Kiddie Aquatics Morning Camp this week. It starts today. I am all worried and Mother Bear like, she is just happy to play with some kids. Ethan and I will hang out and be able to spend a little one on one time.
The last week of summer … wow … Any plans for the upcoming long weekend? How do you say good bye to summer?

You have taken such lovely photos! I am hanging out for summer - we have had so much rain and sickness.

What a great idea tracking your running. If you get to a 5K before winter good. But no worries if you don’t…just think about what you were doing a year a go or even six months a go. You’re doing a great job!
Can’t wait for the long weekend! Down to the cottage WE ALL go! When we were children my whole family (around 25 of us) would leave from the cottage early in the morning and go to the Valley to go ‘pickin’. I used to love that! It’s the best time to go.
Now, I’m just happy to go to the cottage with my family, maybe head down to the beach, have a fire and a Keith’s!
Summer doesn’t end…it just goes in time out for a bit!

You are doing SUCH a great job on running. You should be proud of yourself, and I’m glad you had fun at the lake. I bet that was so refreshing.

I have wanted to try the Nike+ but am too cheap and don’t really know much about it. How does it work?
Good job on the running - that’s awesome. I have been sticking to the same route around our house for the last month just trying to get back into a routine. I think it’s finally working but time is so crunched I may have to just stick to that for now. ;-(

Ahhh, summer has gone too quick now that we’ve escaped the crazy furnace that is SoCal. We’ve got a wedding this weekend in Saint Andrews (one of the most beautiful towns in the Maritimes…which is really saying something!).
Thanks for the dinner invite, but Adam’s heading home before Sam and I venture to Halifax and I’ve got a full couple of days planned
Maybe we can see you at Christmas?

Fa has been a swimming fool since April. She loves her swimming classes. I promised her she can swim at least up until November…then we’ll see how the winter goes…I’m afraid she may get too sick to actually make the classes in the winter…Nothing like pre-worrying.
Have fun with E. Some alone time is nice.

I can’t believe it’s the last real week of summer. It went by far too quickly, and I just have no idea what we will do to squeeze the last bits out of it.

This is our last week of school (well, before break), so we’re going to hit the museums and DL next week, when it hopefully clears out :-). It’s also Darren’s birthday on Fri. and there’s not soccer on Sat. (whoo hoo), so we’re thinking about getting some dim sum with friends.
So glad you had fun at the beach.

Saw your beach picture on Flickr, so cute. Ethan is getting so big, time sure does fly. Becca looks like she loves to swim so Aquatic camp should be fun for her.
We are hoping to go to the shore for the upcoming long weekend. I am hoping to get some great shot, pray for good wheather!

Oh Becca is gonna have so much fun! The lake sounded great. So did your nap. Don’t beat yourself up over resting, your body does need to regenerate sometimes.
Ahhhh… summer coming to a close. I’m ready for fall, but will love the memories of Summer 2008.
Hugs Chelle, thanks for the wishes on my Sanctuary plans! LOL We’ll see how it goes!

Those pics are great as are the ones on Flickr. Sad that summer is almost over.
If you haven’t already entered, this is the last week of our contest. All you have to do is guess.
