She Goes On and On

She Goes On and On

So I thought I was being all witty yesterday with my Lemon reference. Yeah turns out I am just a big MIMIC, because Damselfly already used that incredible wit earlier this week. When I finally caught up on blogs last night and read her fabulous bathroom renovation post I was mortified. So embarrassing.

I went swimming the other night. My endurance was freaking unreal. This running has really changed my body. Now if I could just stay away from the snack food just a little more, and keep at it, I may just start feeling better about my body.

Sadly, I chose shopping over running last night. I needed to find some supplies for Becca’s birthday, before our vacation. Why can there not be just a few more hours in each day? I will be running tonight, no matter what!

I am not getting enough sleep. I try to go to bed earlier, but with all that I am trying to do, I find myself talking to J late, then we do not get to bed early enough. Hopefully our vacation will provide enough time that we get sick of each other and no longer need to talk so much (joking!)

I am so exited. This is our first real vacation. We are not touring the region because we will be moving, we are not delivering anything or visiting the folks. I hope to do a whole lot of nothing, with a side of nothing and nothing. With a little hiking, swimming, touring … but mostly just kick back, enjoy our friends, the scenery and NOTHING.

I am still buried in my to do list. I have emails to respond to, cleaning of the house, washing, packing, organizing. Becca and i have appointments for haircuts this afternoon. She is all Cousin ITT with her hair dangling in her face all the time. It drives me bonkers. However last summer, the bangs drove me crazy. I am more bafffled by her hair than my own.

What are your plans for the weekend? Are you uber busy or kicking back?

Just yesterday, we were saying we wanted to do a whole lot of nothing on vacation :-) . Mostly, in terms of not being super scheduled, like we are right now. We’ll be doing laundry, going to a friend’s house, weeding, and packing this weekend :-) .

  2. I have a baby shower this weekend. I thought I was done with those. Damnit.

I love her hair. I was considering bangs for Fa but decided against it. We cut her hair to her shoulders this week. She “loves her new hairstyle”…kills me.

    Eh, sleep is over-rated anyway!

My to-do list never seems to get any smaller. Why is that?

I have no plans for the weekend, but it will fly by as it always does.

  4. LOL…I’m sure Damselfly doesn’t mind. :0) Anytime I find myself copying her (which happens often, we’re real-life friends!) Just remind yourself that “Great Minds Think Alike.”

It’s nice to have a vacation that doesn’t involve visiting people or delivering something. We’re sort of going to have a “real” vacation this December. A few nights we will actually be staying in a hotel– the other nights staying with family– but I can’t wait! I hope you have lots of fun!

Love the picture of the kids! Cute, cute, cute!

We have a soccer wind-up tonight and tomorrow Kamryns soccer team is in the gold medal match for their zone. GO BLUE THUNDER :-) Other than that I’m hoping for a nice quiet weekend (despite the fact that we have to do yard work LOL)

Very jealous of your up coming vacation. As you know, when you live away from family you never really get vacations…just visitations!!!

This weekend I am beginning my families life of living with less stuff!! As well as a birthday party, a baby shower and tonight I am going to start running…again! It’s been 8 months. Here’s to being able to breath!!! ;)

Have a fabulous vacation! Hopefully the weather will co-operate :) Although, you live in the maritimes now, so if you don’t like the weather, wait 10 mins and its bound to change :P

No real plans this weekend. Tomorrow if my day NOT to do my new workout video…very exciting! Although, its also my day to take measurements and my weight… We’ll probably take a family trip to the park…always fun :)

  8. We’re going to the mountains for a day of relaxing on Saturday, and then finally buying a playground on Sunday. I can’t wait!

Chelle, when you get a free moment, could you send me your playdough recipe? I used to make it, but the last recipe I found turned out really granulated…too much salt maybe? Anyway, I haven’t tried to make it for years…

That is exactly the kind of vacation I want, one where I can do anything I want to do and not because it is time to do it or the day to do it or because someone else demands I do it…I just need some me time, some recooping time. I’m tired, wahhhh

I am so excited for you guys. We all need that time away to get back to our basics as a family.

Haha. I did that exact same thing with a blogging friend – typed up my post went to hers for a read and we had the same titles and topic!
Yay-ness for the holiday! We are totally due for one ourselves. I think it’s an annually/six monthly necessity! (If you can wing it).

Great to bond by taking a trip together and not having to worry about anything…wish you much fun Chelle.

I feel guilty at times too when I missed my run but a friend (a fitness instructor) told me once that it is ok to ‘rest’ once in a while. Listen to our bodies and take a break so that we can achieve better stamina the next time we hit the road.

Slowly before you realise Chelle, you won’t want the snack anymore only the healthy stuff will do. Have fun!

Yea, getting ready for a vacation with two little ones is a busy, difficult task. I once had to drive from California to George, just me and my two boys, who were 3 and 18 months at the time. Oh my goodness. I would NEVER recommend that to anyone!

Hahaha! Great minds think alike! I didn’t think anything of it.

I wish I could be a runner and have tried a few times, but after a while I get the taste of blood in my mouth and think I’m going to die!
