And We Are Back

Written by Chelle on Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

I had a self imposed internet free long weekend. It was fabulous! It wasn’t really planned, it just sort of happened. Most of our weekend was that way. Fabulous and unplanned.

We headed out to soccer Saturday morning, after much resistance Becca finally joined the group and played. I had packed a lunch, since we were not sure what we wanted to do the rest of the day. It was raining, but not miserable. So on a whim we decided to drive to the Bay of Fundy to check out the Dinosaur museum! It was a great little museum! Then in the rain we checked out some tide pools and the Bay. It was a tad farther than we had initially thought, making the day long and irregular for the kids. However everyone agreed the day was well worth it.

Sunday I finished my Spring cleaning. I reorganized the children’s toys, went through all their clothes, etc etc … It felt so good to finish it. Monday was a bum around day with the family. It was so so nice. J is preparing for a conference soon. It has been very taxing on all of us. This weekend was the perfect rejuvenating, bonding time we all needed.

I have so much to catch up on now :) How was your weekend?

Sounds like a perfect weekend! Those are my favorites; when we can get out of the house and everyone is satisfied ;)

I cannot believe there are jackets in that picture. It’s so hot and gross here. Even when it’s raining which luckily it did yesterday because we are bone dry here in Florida.

Hey, I was worried about you. But sounds great. I actually came here and checked how long it had been since you posted!

It’s really hot here too. 100s. Soccer was cancelled this weekend. Now that’s hot :-0.

But we have a long weekend this weekend. Maybe I’ll turn the computer off ;-)

I just love weekends like that! I am hoping that next weekend will be like that! - nothing on the calendar, so free to go and do as we wish ….. bliss!
We had an eventful weekend - a pulled elbow, a ban from the monkey bars for a year! Arghhhhhh!

    Sounds like a wonderful weekend.

I finished my last weekend at work :-( and that was about all of our excitement. Both the girls had an extra day off from school attached to the long weekend, of course not the same day. Morgyn was Friday and Kamryn is has today off.

I’m doing the closet thing right now. Pulling out the spring/summer and putting away the winter. I’m breaking at the moment to do some wash.

Good for you on the Internet-free. I’m an Internet junkie. This hospital visit may just send me into withdrawals.

Like you wonderfully wrote for me - if we don’t go out and live our lives, what in the world would we write about. Sadly I’m internet-free many days. I do miss you and hope to catch up soon! (Hug).

I liked Parsborough. That area of the province is so beautiful! We went to Joggins once looking for fossils…we didn’t find any…

Another very cool place is the area across the Bay from Parsborough…Blomidon (Blomidin)…you drive through Wolfville (a super cute University town dripping in history and beautifully maintained Victorian houses) and through the Valley (particularly nice in the spring with all of the apple blossoms)…You should look it up. I think you’d like it alot :) Oh, plus, there’s tons of Frenchies, the clothing stores we were talking about…

My past weekend was an eye-opening one which I just posted about. The rest of it was spent in a soccer field with both of the boys.

Hello from the Bay of Fundy! great to see that you found our little corner of Nova Scotia. I live in Parrsboro and the whole scene with the tides never ceases to amaze me! In fact, I finally decided that I should blog about it. Have been having a great time with that….I love how the blogosphere connects people from near and far…Terr
