What a Week!
Written by Chelle on Thursday
Sadly the visit with Grandma M and Auntie K has come to an end.
Some highlights from their visit –
- Ethan took his first steps behind a push toy! He cruised along behind his firetruck. Awesome milestone to share with the family.
- We went to the Farmer’s Market and Auntie K was able to find some vegan goodies to enjoy while she stayed with us.
- We were able to enjoy the warm weather and go for a walk through Point Pleasant Park. All our snow was washed away with a rain storm, so we could see the park’s beauty.
- We went treasure hunting at some of the local Antique stores. Both my MIL and I scored some goodies (more to come on that!! hehehe)
- Becca and I spotted a Harbor Seal while on the ferry that goes to Dartmouth! It was so COOL!
- We ate the yummiest Fish and Chips EVER! Mmmm just thinking about them makes my mouth water. We have to force Becca to eat some of her fries because all she wanted was fish!! She is so fitting into the Maritimes!
Becca really enjoyed sharing her world with her Grandma and Auntie K. They read a ton of books, played hours and hours and already Becca misses them. Ethan was shy most of their visit, however he started to come around last night.- The children were throughly spoiled with adorable hand made stuffies from Auntie K, and many many books and toys from Grandma M. J & I stuffed ourselves with the goodies they brought and enjoyed being spoiled as well.
It is so nice that we are back in Canada, even though we are still far away. Visits hopefully will not be so infrequent. With J setting up his lab, going home will be difficult the next few years, so it is awesome tat our family can come see us.
Now it is back to business, cleaning up, reorganizing and preparing for spring. I really think the children and I will be ready to break out in spring and get more exploring in. There is still so much to discover here!

Ethan’s walking! WOOT!
I got your card. Michael’s is so wierd. Sorry.
You got to see a seal. Lucky; how does it compare to cats?

Sounds like it was a successful visit. It probably went by too quickly though.
It’s just not fair that you’re up in Canada with no snow and we have a ton of snow on the ground still.

I am SO glad you had such a great visit and your family got to know you kids again. When Ethan is older, he’ll come around more quickly, but I bet you took a ton of pictures! Good for you!
