The Grouch
I feel like crud. Again. ugh. I am getting sick of feeling sick. Seriously considering going to see the doctor. This is crazy. I have suffered for weeks upon weeks. I start to feel better then BAM sick … again. ugh. Ethan has the same cough and yuckiness. Poor kid. Becca has thankfully diverted this one so far.
I feel grouchy and disorganized. I hate that. Then because I am being grouchy and disorganized I feel worse. grr. This ugly cycle of sick to healthy to right back to sick better STOP.
Yesterday I posted a couple pictures of care packages I have received the past week. My sweet pal Sheila sent the books and Knit-a-pattern-a-day Calendar, totally making my day. Then Awesome Mom sent a Sock Dog, fire truck and YARN!!! The yarn is an alpaca blend that is incredibly soft. Thank you!!!
After pressing redial for HALF an HOUR I finally scored a spot for Becca in Kiddie Kickers. My girl is going to take SOCCER. I always wanted to play soccer, but never did. I was enrolled in soft ball instead (which I actually loved once I was not the worse player on the team, in fact I even stopped a soft ball with my eye, yeah so not athlete of the year!) She is super excited (yet it doesn’t start till the end of April). It isn’t a league or anything just an intro to the sport and fun times. I spoke with another mom today and she tried for an hour, then the class she was wanting for her son was FULL. I totally scored!
J is taking off for the weekend for a chemistry conference, then has work stuff Monday and Tuesday evening. I am not too concerned about being on my own with the kids yet I wonder how moms do it all the time. J will be traveling for work and attending conferences more. I remember the first conference he went on when we were dating. I cried and cried not sure how I was going to live without him near me. Now a days there is so much to take care of with the kids, before I know it he will have returned.
I am exhausted and ready for bed. I cooked up some refried bean enchiladas, special for J. I also baked muffins yesterday and cookies today. We have an unspoken tradition of baking for Daddy when he leaves on a trip. I would pack them in his carry on when he would fly off to interviews. Funny thing is, one time in the airport the drug dog hounded J, till they searched his bag … to find homemade cookies! hehe Ooops!

I know exactly how you must feel with this sickness….I’ve been the same way for a week now, but had been fighting it off for much longer before I finally succumbed. My kids, too…between all of us, it’s been weeks upon weeks, too.
I had a bean enchilada casserole tonight, heh! Good stuff!

Oh no, not again! And you still took the time to make me all pretty/ (BG’s still sick - could be a while!) Anyhoo, you rule.
That drug dog thing is hilarious! Did J share?

We have *knock on wood* been sickness free so it is possible to break the cycle.
I am so glad that you like the yarn. I thought you could use something petable and soft.

Ah, I’m grouchy too…I think it’s the month.
Yay for soccer, she’s gonna love it.
See a doctor…I’ve been on antibiotics for 14 days THIS time….Last time it was 7, the time before that, 10…Since x-mas.
I’m harvesting buggies for the next generation…..

Ha! That drug dog story is funny. I find it really hard when my husband is away - but you’re right about being so busy that you don’t really notice how long they’re gone!
My kids love soccer - Becca will have so much fun!

The poor doggie was hungry!

Sorry to hear you’re sick again, Moms get the short end of the stick with sick time, it’s really hard. On the up side, if you DO go to the doctor, you don’t have to worry about insurance and you can go anywhere you want to! Yay health care!
Hope you’re better soon.

Ugh, so sorry your sick.
Yah Becca is taking soccer :-). James should be starting soon too. So glad we didn’t do baseball in the spring, 4 practices a week and a game. They are 5! I need to get off the sports track before things get ugly.

Oh no, being sick is not fun! My Jillian has been sick all week too.
Oh my goodness that is funny about the drug dogs and cookies! Hmmmmm seems as if they had an extra trainind day?? Baked cookies!
I bet Becca will love soccer. I wasn’t much of a sports kids growing up. But Kamryn is our little soccer girl! She loves it with a passion, and the end of April seems oh so far away right now.
Hope you feel better soon. ((Hugs))

It’s when we’re ill ourselves that suddenly I’d like to revert to childhood and have my mum come and take care of me!
Wishing all well sooner
