It’s All About the E-Man

Thankfully, Ethan has an amazing, attractive personality that demands attention and time. He is my baby, he will always be my baby boy. There are times I am in awe that he has been here for ten months, then I cannot imagine a time when Ethan was not here.As I struggle to find my place in this big world, my kids are growing up. Ethan is cruising around furniture, as he so gracefully demonstrated at the library. There he was standing at the train table, next thing I know he is walking around to the other side. Up until this week, his feet have been firmly planted on the ground.
Ethan has been ill all week. Last night he even threw up during dinner. He is coughing and snotty (we all are) yet he is starting to sleep longer at night and is learning to take assisted steps. The kid is a champ.
We went over to another family’s house yesterday for a knit and play date. He was so shy around the other moms, it was cute and heartbreaking. I want to raise my children around others. It is something I have struggled to maintain with both of them, since we move so frequently.
Ethan adores his big sister. I have never experienced anything like it before. I am an only kid. I am so thankful that our family is complete, full and loving. Becca is so used to Ethan being here (although we are working on being a tad more kinder to him). I have asked her what kind of boy she wants Ethan to become and to treat him accordingly. There are times where she just doesn’t get that she is hurting his feelings. Mind you she is three and a half the world revolves completely around her feelings, but still it is a work in progress.
The closeness I feel with Ethan amazes me everyday. Nursing him, allowing him to feel safe and secure without any outside pressure. My confidence as a parent helps it enhances that. I know so much more than I did when Becca was a baby. I never thought it would be the same. I thought my love for my kids would differ somehow, since I could not imagine my heart being able to love another without bursting. Yet it is the same, different, equal and undying.
J’s mom and sister are arriving tomorrow morning to stay for the week! We are so excited to have them come, see the kids, our new home, to share it all with them!! Becca is bursting with excitement.

Look at how cute he is - and how big!
I’m so glad you got a play - and knit - date. He’ll get used to being with other kids. I’ve noticed that James has to be more outgoing at the park, because he has no sibling to play with, but he also misses out on having the built in playmate, protector, support group.
Loogit him!
So gorgeous.
Have fun with J’s (your) family!!! Can’t wait to hear all about it.
He is adorable of course.
It’s nice to read and “hear” happiness; contentment.
Lovely post to read! He is such a gorgeous boy! You are doing a wonderful job raising your two children. Have fun with the family!
He is such a doll! I CANNOT STAND IT!
OMG he is so cute! Is it possible to have an arranged marriage for him and Brooke? Though I’m not sure what kind of dowry we can provide
How exciting that your SIL and MIL are coming to visit! That will be awesome!! Ethan is absolutely gorgeous and very reminiscent of Joey at his age! Can`t believe he is almost a year old already! This year really has flown by!
Poor kid - I hope he’s better when Grandma and Auntie come! I love the collage - what did you use? He’s got the greatest smile.
Glad you got out for a playdate too!
He is so cute!!
Have a great visit! Isn’t it awesome when family come to visit!
Can he get any more cute?! He’s adorable Chelle! I can’t believe he’s cruising already, just doesn’t seem possible!
Have fun w/J’s family!

I’m so sorry the little guy has been sick. I pray he and all of your get completely well. His pictures are so cute.
Have a great time with your family during their visit.
What a cute boy! The family are just going to love being with the kids
What a beautiful post! Isn’t being a mother the most wonderful, and amazing thing!
And your little Ethan is just a little cutie!
I can really see the resemblance of Ethan and Becca by this picture of Ethan. I never seen it until this picture! I can’t believe he is cruising around like he was at the library. He is going to pass Preston up soon, and Preston is 14 months old!
he’s getting so big! what a beautiful boy. hope he (and all of you) are over your illness soon.
I can’t believe how big he is. I swear it was just yesterday when he was born. I’m an only child too and I love to see how much the Dayngrous Duo adores each other. It is awe inspiring for sure. Enjoy your beautiful family.
