Manic Monday
Despite some frigid temperatures, we headed out this weekend to explore our new city. It was mostly a driving tour, stopping to check out a few shops, have lunch then we headed home. We stopped at the coolest second-hand store, however I was unable to explore it. It was so full of stuff one could barely walk, never mind have children present. It will definitely be a place to explore without the kids!
Ethan has been balancing hands free while standing. He looks like he is surfing when he does it. Too cute. He rambles on in baby-speak like we should all understand and loves to chase his big sister and the cat. We took him to get his photo done for his citizenship card, only to spook him completely. Ethan burst into tears and was beside himself with concern. I can only assume he figured we were going to leave him with the Walmart photographer … poor kid, I would have been scared too!
Becca has a stuffy nose from her sleepfest on Friday, she is generally uner the weather but is *ok* While we were on our driving tour she would point out things she spotted, she is growing up so fast. At one point she must have gotten a tad bored.
“Mommy …. ” oh so softly Becca mews …
“Yes Becca?” I turn in the front passenger seat …
“There is a Cheerio in my nose Mommy”
I look at J as he swerves off the highway so I can try to extract the Cheerio from her nose. Thankfully, she blew into a kleenex and out popped the Cheerio.
“Do we place Cheerios OR anything in our noses?”
“No Mommy” *snickers in the back*

Becca and The Boy have something in common now!

But her nostrils look so tiny!
Hee hee…At least she told you. She may have gone all day like that…Gah.
I wanted to ask you, how are the kids (Becca) handling the change of weather? Does she question it? Has it come up that where she lives now is different from where she used to live?
Just wondering?

Eek, that’s a scary lesson to learn. I hate it when anything happens in the back of the car out of reach.
Cheers

Wow a Cherrio fit? LOL

Wow! That is quite impressive. At least it was not down her ear. One of my sisters put rocks in her ear pretending that they were hearing aids. My dad was barely able to get them out.

Ack! The things kids do!

Be very glad it was not a Tic-Tac, my cousin did that one. I’m glad Becca is feeling better and that Ethan is balancing himself! Love the photo!

Note to Becca: If it’s smaller than her elbow . . . Snort. Takes me back to Easter. Can’t wait to hear about the 2nd hand store.

Ha Ha! That is so funny, and so cute! At least she told you about it! LOL

That’s cute - a tad dangerous, but cute! I once taught a boy who bolted like crazy from my classroom yelling “I’m going to the nurse!” He came back 5 mins later. “What was that about?” I asked him…… “I had an eraser stuck up my nose” he replied.
Even at 8 years old the fascination with sticking things into small holes is still there!

HAHA! I’m glad the Cheerio came out. I remember my cousin going to the ER as a kid because she stuffed M&Ms up her nose. You’d think they would have just melted.

Wow - her nostril is flexible!

Hmmmm do I dare say I put a button in my nose when I was a kid??

lol! that’s too funny!!!
sounds like Ethan will be walking in no time. We’re still not walking here, she cruises & can stand on her own for a while & has even taken steps from the chair to the couch by herself but isn’t “brave” enough to actually walk yet, lol.
That’s probably better though since she’s such a handful now, when she’s walking she’ll just be a taller handful, lol

Yikes! She must have been bored if she was experimenting with cheerios in her nose! Glad you all are getting out and able to explore some!

Oh, how funny that Becca put a Cheerio up her nose. Thankfully it came out with ease! So far Snuggle Bug hasn’t done this yet…knock on wood.
Glad to hear that you’re having fun exploring your new city. Good luck exploring that cool second-hand store

Just wait until she sticks a Cheerio into little brother’s nose!
