Just Talking
You will have to go here … to read all about Becca’s surprise
It truly was one of those parenting moments that brings tears to your eyes and that I will never forget. Witnessing my daughter light up like that was amazing and unforgettable (you can hear it there too!).
Speaking of Much More Than a Mom. I had signed up for the Christmas swap, she so graciously hosted pre-moving, however she encouraged me to stay in the swap and I am so glad I did! In the middle of all my stress, I was able to break and shop for my partner.
Then not long after arriving in Halifax, my swapper/giver’s package arrived! It was such a wonderful moment opening the package and sharing it with my family. I received painted mugs (by no other than my partner how awesome is that?!?!), matching spoons, drink tags, hot chocolate (already dived into that), the yummiest tea EVER, the cutest hand puppets for me err the kids, and a colouring book with crayons (missing in the picture because Becca has already claimed it). Isn’t it all so awesome! Thank you so much Gwen for making my first ever swap so special! And to MMTaM for being the hostess with the mostest
The rest of this week, I am going to share some last minute gift ideas with you all, and share our pre Christmas activities with you. So you better watch out, you better not cry … Santa Claus is coming … to town!

OMG I’m crying! That was SO awesome! Thanks for sharing this - this was SO heartwarming!
I’m glad you are getting all settled in. Kiss those beautiful kids of yours! xoxo
Lemme tell ya! When I was a kid, my dad’s best friend used to call me up as Santa and talk to me…I thought it was the friggin’ greatest thing ever…That SANTA would call ME!!!!!
I’ll never forget that as long as I live. Awesome for Becca to experience that.
Yay for gifts too…Those are awesome and yes, MMTAM is wonderful for organizing that…I will have to participate next time!!!
So glad things are looking up!
What a great gift! And, again, I’m so glad Becca was able to do that review with you. Consider it a little “welcome back to Canada” from the North Pole!
(Did you notice he said “up there in Canada” instead of down there? The big guy noticed that one…)
That is pretty cool.
I’m amazed that you participated in a swap with all that you had going on!
Wow! A phone call from the big man himself :-). I may have ruined the whole Santa thing here, but that’s for a different blog, no?
What a great swap too!
That is a neat idea. I am glad that Becca got a chance to really talk with the big guy.
She had a phone call from SANTA! Awesome.
I am so glad you liked the box. I love the tea too.
I am getting my Dad to write a Father Christmas letter (Tolkien) for my son. He is planning to do a couple of watercolours with some trains and Santa Claus and tell a story about the North Pole. I can’t wait for it to come in the mail.
Maybe next year we will do the call from Santa.
Omg! that was so awesome!!!
You guys are so sweet to do that for her. You could tell she was so flustered when talking to him. Too cute!!!
I tell you it put a huge smile on my face listening to it & they seem to have picked just the perfect Santa too.
