As you read this, I have run off with my family to a Wool Festival! Becca cannot understand why we are going to a whole festival of wool. I bribed her with the notion there may be sheep there. Let’s hope there are sheep! Oooo heavenly yarn here I come …
Ethan is officially 6 months old. I cannot believe that itty bitty baby that entered the world so magically, did so 6 months ago. He has grown and changed so much and the time has flown by.
I am constantly in awe of my son. He is so different from his sister. He is much more adventurous motor skill wise, enjoying tummy time while already sitting independently (almost). His first tooth has emerged and he has begun to take to solids a bit.
Ethan worships his big sister. They are going to be a challenge together. He is constantly egging her one when she is acting silly, giggling and smiling at her. Today while grocery shopping she was twirling about the aisles, all the while Ethan giggling madly from his position in the sling.
Becca and I took Ethan swimming for the first time Friday. As soon as he saw Becca pop out of the water, he began to giggle. Instantly enjoying swimming, just like his sister. I am able to handle them both in the water with the help of a water sling, and the fact that Becca is so good in the water. I was all about getting pictures then got lost in the moment with both of them and completely forgot.
I love this little guy to pieces. I hope that once we settle into Halifax the last few months of his first year are a tad quieter, more calm and wistful. I try so hard to have those little moments with him, not wanting to miss out on anything. I do take a part of every afternoon to be beside him, whisper to him and nurse him. He is his own little person already.
I was not sure how close I would be to Ethan. I could not fathom loving and feeling so connected to another being. Becca was my world. Now my world is just BIGGER. This amazes me everyday.
Make sure to enter for a chance to win Play Silks
You have until Saturday Midnight.

I can’t believe he’s already six months–wow! He looks so precious.
)
Enjoy the good vibes between your kids while you can. Soon you’ll hear: “He/she is taking my stuff!” and “He/She won’t leave me alone.” Hehe.
I’m at that phase with my two boys now.
)
Have a wonderful weekend!
Happy 6 month Birthday Ethan!
It’s funny how you say about him being a totally different person then Becca. Mine are like that too.
I had Nate all figured out. I thought having Emma would be easy, how different can babies be, right? Oh nooo…. wrong!
She’s total opposite of him. He’s mellow, laid back & easy going. She’s hyper, shit disturber & ready to go & get into everything.
I guess that’s what will make our lives interesting, lol.
Glad the kids enjoy each other, I couldn’t imagine them not either, however I do know they will go through a phase that they won’t get along… sigh… not looking forward to that.
I’m sorry. Did you say anything after wool festival? Sure, stay just long enough to get to the wool festival
.
Happy 6 months Ethan. I never doubted your capacity to love.
It is amazing how love just expands to add more children isn’t it? I worried about the same thing when I was pregnant with my son. This time, I know better than to worry about that.
happy half birthday, ethan!
have fun at the wool fest.

Aw happy six months Ethan! He’s such a cutie!
Just from moments of reading about your adventures show how much you love them and how awesome of a mom you are!
I am so envious of the wool yarn you will be bringing back home!! Ethan is such a cutie! I miss my little babies even though I do love the older stages too.
Did I manage to enter your silks contest? My kids would love those!
What a BEAUTIFUL little boy – wow!
Glad to hear that being a mommy to two is so much better than being a mommy to one for you now. Always knew you would cope well with all that positive attitude. Kudos to you Chelle.
Wow, I can’t believe that Ethan is 6 months old already! And didn’t you just move to New Mexico? I would think that your move to Halifax would be easier since you would still have 1/2 of your stuff still in boxes. haha! At least that would be me.
I was looking on Google Earth to see exactly where Halifax is. You are really moving far this time, aren’t you? Where in Canada are you from? Will you be close to “home”?
I enjoy the pictures of your family and I appreciate your comments on my blog. As you know we’ve been going through some tough times lately and I appreciate your comments. ((hugs!))
6 months is a great age. How fun! Have fun at the festival
He is such a handsome little boy. I can’t believe it’s been six months tho. Where has the time gone?!
Your little guy is so very cute. You all are a fabulous family.
My computer still runs very slow on your blog. I don’t know why, but I’ll keep coming any.
Come by and get your award.
A wool festival – sounds so cool!
