Do You Know …
… the way to San Jose Santa Fe?
Thank you so much for all the hugs, comments and emails. I can feel the love, truly. The house feels empty. Charisma will be dearly missed.
We ran away to Santa Fe today. First we snooped through the HUGE Flea Market just outside of Santa Fe … *~drool~* I could have spent the entire morning exploring through all the booths of beads, jewelry and so much more! We purchased the cutest chalk cloth made of oil cloth, so Becca. Entertainment on the go! It rolls up, it is clean and she loves it!
Afterwards we hit up the Plaza in Santa Fe. It was so much fun. There were tons of galleries, art, museums
and goodies! It was fun to explore and I hope to make it back when we have a little more time. Becca enjoyed the balloon animal guy in the park and the cats and dogs. The shelters were there with a ton of animals for exposure and hopes to get some animals adopted. I so wanted to rescue them all!
Having my Dad here and taking him around has been so wonderful. I am so glad he is here. Sadly he will be heading back to Canada early next week
We hope to go down to Bandilier National Park tomorrow.
Oooo in the next fews days I will reveal some special art from Becca … Hope you are all have a fantastic weekend …
Who sings the song that I quoted in my title?

I’m so sorry about Charisma. I’ve never really had a pet so it’s hard for me to imagine how you feel.
Ethan looks so much like you!
Have a good visit with your dad.
I know the kinds of chalk rolls you’re talking about - they’re really cute! It sounds like a wonderful day.
That is so Dionne Warwick and Burt Bacharach…I know because every time we would go to California, coming out of the airport, we’d sing that!!!!! la la la la la la la la…
I have always wanted to go to Santa Fe!!!!
I’m glad you had fun in Santa Fe. Is that where there are tons of luminarias for Christmas? I always thought that would be pretty.
Don’t overdo your ankle :-).
I used to live in Albuquerque and worked for First Community Bank, which has branches in Sante Fe. I would have to drive to Sante Fe at least a couple of times a month to provide technical server support for the branches in that area. I really loved Sante Fe! The Plaza was always a favorite for me.
Have you been to Taos yet? It’s a pretty drive and also a neat, artsy town!
Always nice to take a break and a change of scene - hope it recharges the batteries.
Cheers
glad you are getting out and enjoying the area! I think it’s been 8 yrs since I’m been to Santa Fe! I was visiting Joe (before moving here) and we made a trip there. Neat chalk mat you found for Becca!
In the permanent collection of the New Mexico Museum of Art there is a collection of Laura Gilpin’s photography. She was a groundbreaking woman photographer in the old west. Her work is breathtaking.
I love Santa Fe! Be sure to go back and explore some more, there are great things all around that area.
Looks like a fun time has been had by all!
Hi, there,
I found you through Scribbit. I am glad to run into your blog. Everything here comforts me. I too have a foot that hurts like crazy due to a major ankle sprain, am waiting it through with my husband, just settled in Pittsburgh having lived in Israel for 18 years, feeling lonely at times, have been through it all…I have an old childhood friend who lives in Santa Fe… I wish I moved to New Mexico…
I’ll be coming back…
Cute pictures, as usual.
Um. Isn’t it the Carpenters?
Someone already beat me to Dione. But do I get a prize for growing up in a family that had a wood-paneled station wagon with an 8-track tape of Dione’s biggest hits, including San Jose?
Sounds like you’re having some fun! Looking forward to Becca’s art too.
Glad you got to get away.
I awarded you with the “You Make Me Smile Award.” Come by my blog to pick it up.
sounds like you’re having a super busy but awesome week with your dad. Enjoy it!!! Can’t wait to see more pics!
Bum bum bum bum bum…. now I’ve got Dionne Warwick stuck in my head (after listening to Bryan Ferry’s Slave to Love earlier in the day).
I just love Sante Fe. I really love New Mexico. I’ve only been there once and am dying to visit again. You are in one awesome place!!
What fun, especially to share it with your dad. The kids must love having grandpa around. Sante Fe sounds nice…I have never been.
BTW - Stop by I and pick up your award.
Oooh…I’m so sorry to hear about your sweet kitty, and I hope sweet Becca is feeling better.
Glad you had a great time in Sante Fe!
