Retail Therapy
J & I had already planned to head over to Albuquerque, however it was even more fun to shop when shaking off the blues.
Becca was extremely accident prone while shopping. She had wiped out like four times then NAILED her head on a Gap shelf. I thought the Gap manager was going to melt with panic. He kept coming over and asking if the screaming child was ok. She had quite the goose egg, but alas the evidence has already disappeared. Amazing how quickly they heal.
Thanks for all the kind words of support (and kicking me in the butt). Being here is tough, yet being able to spend time with the kids, explore and advance some skills will make it worth it.
As for the hair chopping … it had to be done. Ethan is grabbing at my hair, it is extremely dry here and my hair was feeling a lot like a straw wig. I love my hair long, when it is healthy. The hairdresser was a dork and cut it all one length. Anyone with naturally curly, thick hair can contest that all one length = poodle. ~sigh~ So I need ANOTHER haircut with less of a hacker. It is liberating not to have so many locks, 6 inches gone!

Is it a sign of addiction that I bought a new pair of shoes based on how they would look with my knitted socks?

Something I never thought I would say:
“If you eat your potatoes I will squirt your Daddy with the water bottle again!”
“OK!”

You look good darling! I just cut my curly-haired daughter’s hair for the first time (bangs don’t count) and I’m realizing I really bungled it! I may need some tips from you.
What an awesome photo!
Looks great! It’s exactly the same length as my new do. I’m just too lazy to upload my pics. Maybe tonight?
I feel your pain. Preston pulls my hair all the time, too. I am constantly having to pry my hair out of his little hands.
Great photo there!
Oh OUCH!!! I’m glad she’s okay! I love Alburquerque. We we’re there last year for a business trip. We went to Santa Fe, as well. So many street shops!
I like the length on you! I always cut my hair when my kids get to that grabby stage
Good picture. Now does he grab at your earings?
I, too, just cut my hair. My husband hasn’t complained. Nor has he complimented. I’ll take it as a trade off and not complain
Glad I found your blog
Looking good! And of course, I think it’s totally necessary to by shoes to match THOSE fabulous socks!
I love it! I think it looks great!!
Becca must be going thru a growth spurt being accident prone like that, glad she’s ok
I hate my short hair as well, I can’twait till it grows out, but it had to be cut too. It was falling out like nuts & I was finding it everywhere. It was gross.
Your haircut is beautiful! I had to get my hair cut when I had The Boy, too - he was driving me nuts pulling on it!
And I’m laughing about the potato-squirting line. Life with little kids is SO weird!
cute pic and i love the haircut. looks great!
LOL at the potato comment. it’s so funny the things that come out of our mouths sometimes.
glad to hear that you’re feeling better about everything! I think your hair cut looks great!
Yup the entanglement of fingers can drive you bazzy. I’ve given up predicting the future.
Cheers
Love the hair! Great picture of you and Ethan.
I love that:
“Is it a sign of addiction that I bought a new pair of shoes based on how they would look with my knitted socks?”
As for this
“If you eat your potatoes I will squirt your Daddy with the water bottle again!”
“OK!”
I so gotta remember that one LOL.
Love the hair! It looks gorgeous. I’d give anything for a curl!
Glad the shopping helped…
Knitted socks=cute shoes…why not?
Looking Fabulous!!
Your hair looks great and I can’t believe how much Ethan looks like you!
I needed that potato trick earlier this evening.
What a great picture! Shorter hair really suits you and I am guessing it will be alot easier to handle? Glad to hear that retail therapy washed away some of your blues. I am a bit of a shopaholic and living in London makes it even harder to resist because there is so much great stuff here!!!
I can’t stop staring at that beautiful baby! That is such a great picture (but something tells they are all that great with such a face!). Retail therapy has kept me alive this long!
I want to hear more about the potatoes and squirting Dad! LOL
wow I too have long THICK curly hair and I always keep some type of layers in my do! I wish you could visit Philly, I would take you Frank he is hilarious! He is about the only man i’ll let do my hair other than Miles!
You look great!
Love the new haircut!!
