Redrum Redrum
Ok I know I am a stay at home mom, but in case you have failed to notice we do not stay at home all that much. We are all about the adventure.
So the last week of self-imposed quarantine has been rather trying to say the least. Becca, Ethan, J and then finally me have all suffered in one way or another with a nasty cold. Poor Becca has suffered the most, still experiencing a runny nose and a cough.
Being the mom of a three year old is a challenge in itself. Being the mom of a SICK, but in denial three old is impossible! We have fought, cried, fought some more … ugh. I hate that I cannot just take her in my arms and snuggle her till she feels better. That is not what she wants or needs. This week has slowly gotten better … thank the heavens.
Actually today was near perfect. The planets were aligned? Becca and I both got along fabulously and enjoyed each other’s company. It was wonderful. Ethan I am sure on some level was relieved! Poor boy has to be in the middle of two very head strong girls.
I sure hope the citizens of this fine town are grateful for my sacrifice this past week, saving them from illness, threatening my sanity.

I loathe being sick, let alone having a little one that’s sick. Hugs to you, becca and Ethan.
I hope the colds have worked it’s way thru your household. So not fun, for Mommy or kiddies.
P.S. I think you have some of the cutest “Geeks in Training”
Yes. the three year old is murder.
Especially when they are sick.
But those days when the planets do align…pure joy.
Glad your planets are all ina row.
Hope you’re all better and out and about soon!
Eek! Sick little kids are no fun. I have two right now - but because they’re older, they keep each other a bit more busy. Something to look forward to!
oh, that’s good to hear that Becca is finally getting better. Glad things are getting back to normal around your home.
No TV and no beer makes Homer go crazy… LOL - I hear ya about being cooped up indoors! We go out every morning just for my own sanity, then potty train all afternoon afetr nap (when I’m rested enough to deal with the accidents).
I hope Becca gets better soon!
Sanity is over-rated.
I hope you all feel better super soon.
I just hate it when my kids are sick! You just wanna go through the cold for them, don’t you?
“We are all about the adventure.” Sounds like a good tagline for your blog!
Gosh you are considerate. I can’t tell you how many parents wouldn’t be so thoughtful. I hope you all see sun soon.
Glad to hear you’re all on the mend!
Ohhhhhh we’ve got the opposite thing happening here at the moment! Both M and I are sick and trying to keep to perfectly healthy children entertained when all you want to do is crawl up in bed and hibernate is hard going!!!! Hope they get better soon - and I’m sure the locals would fully appreciate you sparing their kids from the germs!!
Sounds like me this week. I won’t tell you it gets worse as she gets older.
I won’t.
Yes, 3 year olds are challenging. Sick kids of any age pretty much suck too. Hope all is better soon.
So glad to hear that you guys are feeling better! Adam was glad to talk to J today
We hope the SMU interview goes well!
God bless you, Chelle. Three year olds are tough as it is and having a sick one is worse! Glad she isfeeling a little better!
Yes, one’s own sanity is a very precious thing, and heaven forbid that we should ever be ill ourselves.
Best wishes and glad to hear that you all survived.
Wow, I on vacation for a week (forever) and you’ve got a new cat, a new sandbox, a broken vagina, and a sick household. I’m on vacation still until Tues. (just have good internet until Sun., early), I hope you can hold it together :-).
Congrats on the good news, so, so so, so sorry about the bad. Like the cape.
