Introducing …
We would like to introduce the newest member of our Clan … SkippyJon Jones (hopefully our cat will be better behaved than his namesake!) Although Charisma appears well, we have had to resort to feeding him baby food with a syringe 2 times a day in order to get him to eat anything at all. Our hope is that with a companion he will perk up a little and eat on his own. So far he has only expressed disdain for the new one. This is not surprising, and we are hoping that he comes to adore the little one.
Skip seemed to have picked us. He appears rather insistent on hanging out with me (especially as I knit), however he is quite content to let Becca love him and play with him. J & I both forgot what it was like to have a kitten in the house!
Ethan does not seem to care either way
He is however, weighing in at 16 lbs 2 oz and measuring 26 inches. He is the weight Becca was at 6 months rather than his four months, hehe. He took his shots hard and had a fever the next day. Actually both Ethan and Becca are suffering from a nasty cold. Green, thick snot, nasty achies and tiredness has infected the house. Poor J is now suffering as well. Somehow I have escaped the illness, for how long I cannot say.
I finished knitting my first pair of socks. The yarn knitted up awesome and it was a cool experience. I ramble on about it over here, and have started a swatch for another pair! I am officially addicted to sock knitting!

Cute socks, and welcome SkippyJon! Great name!
What a cute kitten! sorry about the sickies in the house -hope everyone feels better soon! Your socks look great - what an awsome job you did!
I love the socks!
What a cute little kitty! I love those socks too!! I have not been brave enough to attempt socks.
AWESOME SOCKS!! Someday you’ll have to teach me how to knit them! I know how to knit a scarf and a beanie cap.. other than that.. I’m not sure, lol.
Hey Chelle! Yay for new additions!!! Have you heard we’ll be welcoming ours sometime April ‘08?! Hopefully it’s that girl!
Your socks are awesome! I’ll just be living vicariously through you with the knitting gig! Hope the green gunk leaves you alone quickly!
My baby, Preston handled those 4 month shots the same way. Fevers started the afternoon after the shots. Cool socks! And the kitty is eating baby food, huh? That’s got to be alot of work.
Cute Kitten and COOL socks! You are so clever. Ohhhhhh the shots are so the worst thing about parenting!
Awww cute kitty!
Socks look awesome, my sock hating feet think they look way cool
Ugh colds suck, hope it passes thru your house quickly.
Totally cute kitty!
I only wanted to learn to knit so I could make socks.
It hasn’t happened yet though. LOL
That kitten is gorgeous. Good luck. I feel for the big kitty. kittens are tough. (Not as tough as puppies) but tough for older cats.
love the socks! Aww, a new kitty. My boys want one but I’m not so sure we need another one right now.
Big, knitted socks are fab for winter nights! There’s a change in the air here even though we haven’t actually had Summer yet. Cute kitten but the name just went completely over my head!
Wow! That’s one big boy! Finn is 19 pounds at 11 months!
He’s a big bouncing boy!
And aw, Skip is such a cute name for a cat. Nice socks!
SkippyJon is a great name! What a cute family you all make. I’m sure he loves the yarn when you knit.
congrats on the new family member.
love the socks. you rock!
But will you make the kitty some new socks now?
Hope everyone gets well soon and hopefully, the virus does not get you
Take care.
welcome to your new addition!
hopefully it’s exactly what Charisma needs.
Love the cat, his name is awesome. My son loves his SkippyJon Jones board book about colors.
Your son is too cute. Bubbie was the same way. He is 12 months and 28 lbs. He is just a big boy and I love it.
I totally love the knitted socks. Are they hard to knit?
Welcome SkippyJon Jones!!!!
Your socks are hawt. I might learn how to knit the next time Beetle deploys… or sew. I’ve always wanted to learn how to sew… or at least be able to hem my jeans. I bought a pair labeled ‘petite’ and had to chop off four inches… I considered hot gluing the hem but figured that was just silly.
Plus I don’t own a hot glue gun.
