Ever So Random
I have been tagged … Amygeekgirl of Musings of a Crunchy Domestic Goddess (gosh I adore that blog name!) tagged me for the 8 random things meme. Since I just know you cannot get enough of ME, I was all excited!
1. No I am not pregnant. Two kids seems absolutely perfect for us at the moment.
2. I had to see the doctor because my vagina is broken. ~sigh~ Yes broken. I “over” healed and now things are not as they should be. The gynecologist has prescribed some estrogen cream and we are all hoping beyond hope that my vagina and scissors NEVER have to be in the same sentence again.
3. I had braces in my twenties. Actually months before we were married I still had braces on. Now my teeth are wonderfully straight.
4. For as long as I can remember I have had a crush on John Cusack, because of this movie, that everyone I know has never saw or heard of.
5. I totally love scary books. Stephen King is my favorite author (since I was 8), however I have a very vivid imagination. I do not take the garbage out, go to the bathroom, or see wind up chatter teeth without a moment of hesitation, wondering … what if …
6. I currently feed my cat twice a day with a syringe lamb baby food. Charisma is still losing weight. He is still a big cat, but really he cannot die. I love him.
7. Everyone that has met me in real life, believes I am this way outgoing, excited, happy person. Truly I am scared to death that nobody will like me and they will think I am an idiot. I put myself out there now for my kids. I had major social anxiety in Canada, pre-kid. To the point I isolated myself, virtually existing only online and at work. Being pregnant with Becca saved me from that. I did however, learn a lot about my creative process and how I wanted to express that.
8. I feel like I have so much to learn. Like I am ten paces behind everyone else. I am always trying so hard to catch up. Just lately, I have met people that have changed that perception. Suddenly I am the girl with the knowledge. It feels good. Must read more.
Wow that got introspective.
Becca passed her swimming lessons and had her last class this week. Come September she will take the class with her peers, as I sit with Ethan on the bleachers. My baby girl is growing up! We also received our Meerkat Manor prize package (Thanks Aimee!) this week. Inside was a Meerkat puppet. Becca was upstairs taking a nap, so I showed Ethan (totally thinking Becca scored a new puppet). Ethan GRABBED the puppet and rarely lets go of it. In fact if you have seen that lady that wears a Meerkat in her baby sling (with the baby) in Los Alamos … yeah … That would be ME! Ethan loves that Meerkat!
Have you seen this YouTube video of a Dad singing about bedtime? Awesome!

thanks for playing along!
your #2 gave me the chills. ouchy.
i have a crush on john cusack too. love him. never saw that movie though. will have to add it to netflix.
Oooh, poor little vagina! I hope the estrogen cream works for you. I know several people who have been on it (for different reasons) and have loved the effects so I hope you feel the same way soon.
Congrats to Becca on passing her lessons!
I am so glad that the package got to you so fast! They told me they sent it out.
I really hope that you get better soon, that just sounds painful.
Well thank you so much for sharing that. I too also considered that I was shy and retiring until one day, I heard on the radio that anyone who went around thinking that everyone was staring at them [etc.] was really an ego maniac, that no-one was really the least bit interested - that was my cure.
Very best wishes and I fully sympathize with the V issue.
I was very shy and quiet the first two years of high school, and though I got out of that the last two, I had to start all over when I went to college. It was rough, but people nowdays don’t believe me! It’s hard to do and you are doing great.
The DH had braces when he was younger but now he is talking about getting them again. I don’t look forward to whatever the kids have to go through.
Yikes, I hope the estrogen works!
Owwie! Poor girlie bits!!! I hope the cream makes it all better very very soon!!
You are a very good Momma and I hope Charisma feels better soon too. Poor kitty.
poor you. I sure hope the cream works for you.
cute pics!
i’m not really sure how anyone could think you are an idiot. I loved you from the moment we met & thought you were the coolest chick out there, no wonder we hit it off like we did. I have never before or since hit it off with anyone like we did.
Um, yeah. Please no more sentences with vagina and scissors. I had a chill run up and down my spine as I typed that. Yikes!
One of my good friends loves John a whole bunch but I’d bet she hasn’t seen that movie either.
I also enjoy me a good Stephen King novel, although I haven’t read any in years.
Feeding the cat with a syringe? You’re waaaay more invested in getting your cat to lost weight than I. I just pretty much starved mine (vet’s orders) and listened to her complain all the time. She’s lost almost 5 lbs though. And stopped complaining.
I can relate to having that social anxiety. I too, put myself out there for my kids, and for me too. It’s hard. When people first meet me they know nothing about me for at least a year or more…because I don’t talk much if I don’t know people well.
Writing? I can write your ear off.
I’m sorry about No 2 being broken - I hope that gets better really soon. The poor cat - I pray he gets better soon. Ethan looks so cute asleep.
Just by reading your blog I can’t imagine anyone meeting you and not liking you.
Have a great weekend.
Gosh I bet Ethan makes you just wanna kissy-smooch on him all day — because that’s how I would be with him if I was his Mommy! That face is just soooo darn cute that you just wanna chew him to pieces - even asleep! hehe
Katie gets smooched on too much by her older brothers and I! Isn’t so hard to resist!?
BTW — congrats on your little fish - Becca! She’s such a big sister now!
as far as your vajayjay is concerned - hope that the cream will make it better
Yep totally random! And you poor thing you! Add it to “Ethan’s 21st speech”. It’s only fair that we get to share the impact of child birthing with those involved at the most appropriate times!
P.S. big fan of John Cusack too - although have never heard of that movie! Will hunt it out in the “totally random” section of our video/dvd shop!
I can’t imagine anyone not liking you–you’re such a wonderful, sweet person. :o)
Hehe. I can totally identify with the Stephen King thing; he’s awesome. However, after seeing one of his movies or reading one of the books, I too turn into a chicken. Hehe.
Ouch, chelle! Hope you get better very soon!
I was SO painfully shy before I had kids, so wow. I can relate.
Also: Yeah, it took me ages - like, A YEAR - to recover from having The Baby, so I hear ya. That’s no fun but you WILL feel better. Eventually. Give it time.
No scary books for me, thanks! I’m too much of a chicken already!
A broken Vagina? Ohh no, we must get you healed and right away…
ouch! Hope the cream helps and you’re healed better this time! I love Stephen King too! How cute is that that Ethan claimed the puppet for his own!
Wonderful randomness…
I am so sorry about your broken hoo ha.
I hope you can fix it soon.
OMG, hello, The Journey of Natty Gann was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I must’ve watched it a dozen times and it broke my heart every time.

Thanks for sharing these fun tidbits. And your yoni will continue to heal as it needs to…it’s not “broken”, just trying to recover from the battle with scissors. Ouch. Sounds like it’s does an amazing job so far even if it has overcompensated.
xoxo
