Manic Monday

Written by Chelle on Monday

This Thing Rocksugh. Does it happen to you? You have this fun weekend. J is home. We unpack, organize, check out the church and run off to Albuquerque. We enjoy tons of family time. J & I watch theLord of the Rings Trilogy. We relax.

Then Monday comes. ugh. I wish it were Sunday. Laundry has piled up. The sea foam green carpet looks like Rhinos have run through. The kitchen looks like a science lab. ugh.

Becca is enjoying some cool finds we discovered while garage sale shopping (really we must stop). Ethan scored a Jumperoo this weekend. Becca had a hand me down Chillinexercersauser that we did not save, this new fandled thing is high tech! I have debating and debating. Ethan’s head control and even leg strength is amazing. His tummy time has helped him out so much. In fact he almost rolled over yesterday! So I did not really want yet another thing to place him in. It gets to easy to put him away and forget about it. Yuck.

However, at Target when we tried out the Jumperoo, Ethan instantly smiled when placed inside. His face light up and he giggled at the motion he could create, the music and lights. In fact, when it was time to go, our decision had been made, poor Ethan let out a squeal of frustration when we took him out!

Ooooo we went to the Apple Store … Swoon … The iMac’s are so pretty. I am trying to hold out until October … Swoon …

Alas, housework is screaming to be done. Four bathrooms. ugh.

Four? Yuck. I thought three was bad. Seafoam green carpets will make you REALLY extrasuper glad when you can finally buy your own house! ;-)

My parents have a jumperoo and Harry had a blast when we visited them last year. You are right that there is a lot of temptation to just put them in something instead of giving them tummy time, but jumping can be so much fun for the little ones.

I know what you mean about the iMacs!

I do know all too well about having to return to reality. Except that my Monday’s can be on Wednesdays or Sunday’s. Ryan’s schedule rotates and his 4days on or 4day off can fall anywhere, so every week is different! Never a dull moment! I hung the pics i just havge to post the pictures of them. Becca’s work really POPs the wall!

4 (FOUR!) bathrooms? Are ya nuts??! Wow - I’m not worthy… I can barely keep 1.5 clean!

  7. Holly, on July 23rd, 2007 at 10:08 am Said:

    What an amazing smile!

Make at least one bathroom off limits and you won’t have to clean it nearly so often, just an occasionaly dust up. Seriously, 4 bathrooms? Do it before Ethan starts marking his territory, I mean, becomes potty trained.

Are you already on a MAC? I’m too scared to change.

    Four. Bathrooms.

I’m actually cringing at the thought.

    But I love Becca’s toenails!

For bathrooms? What are you thinking????? Tee hee…i can’t keep two clean, so what do I know?

How cute is Ethan in that Jumperoo…?

And Becca? Oh goodness! Too adorable.

It certainly DOES happen to me - we have a fun, relaxing weekend and then comes Monday and the house is a sty.

Well… as you’ve seen from many of my pics & videos, Emma loves the jumperoo as well. I am glad you got him one. Nah, you can’t forget about them, once they get bored of it they let you know & the best part is, you can get things done while they’re in it, lol. Watch how fast he gets leg stregth now, he’ll probably be walking a lot quicker too because of it. Nate lived in his jumperoo & walked at 10 months!

Four bathrooms? I guess no one in your home is going to argue who has to go potty first, lol!

Love the pic of Becca with her toes painted… I can’t wait till I can do that too, he he.

You beat me by 1 bathroom. GOD BLESS YA, CHILD!

And your kids look happy! Sounds like everything is getting back to crazy normal for you. Take good care and order something for yourself NOW! xoxo

Sam had the same jumparoo…we hope that Ethan gets the same joy out of his that Sam did :) BTW last tax season, did J’s NSERC count as scholarship, bursary or fellowship $$$ ?

The Apple Store is cool. When in CA recently our son took us and we checked out the new iPhone - sweet.

  16. Gee B, on July 24th, 2007 at 12:45 pm Said:

Perhaps time to rope off 2 bathrooms as no-go zones???? My house seems to go through that exact same description daily. My two are like hurricanes, whipping around sucking up stuff and dropping it where-ever! And the washing????? !!!!! Little miss seems to think it’s normal to change her clothes several times a day, and once she takes it off it goes straight into the washing pile! So my washing is a daily exercise - I really need to do something about her little habit!
I love the Mac ads that have reached our screens here in NZ. very cool - very tempting to switch …… but not in the budget, and not my domain/area of control in this household :)

I agree with Gee B. Rope off two bathrooms. Glad you had a nice weekend though.

Sounds like every Monday around here - except instead of garage saling, we are recuperating from kids’ sports…

Love the picture of the baby and the one of Becca - she’s grown up SOO much!
