I never did reveal my birthday present! J & my Dad went in together and purchased a cute red Nano! Life was so crazy back then!

Dudes … This is going to be a tad embarrassing. See I am so out of the loop when it comes to music. Like really really bad. Without Much Music (really MTV … sucks in comparison all it is is reality tv … no music!?! How did video kill the radio star?) I feel lost. I have yet to find a good rock station down here. One thing about Detroit … they know their rock! So yeah I have a thousand excuses why I suck at the moment, and really I need to get back into the music loop … Let’s hope the developments in our world help out my cool factor *wink*

2. Poison - Alice Cooper (I adore listening to this while doing the dishes … don’t ask!)

4. Holiday/Boulevard of Broken Dreams - Green Day (somewhat cool, right they are still cool right!??!)
5. Run off to LA - Kid Rock (I am sure I have mentioned my obsession with this bad boy … Marz & I even saw him in concert together hehe good times!)

I have started lusting after an I-pod recently. I think I might try and get one before I leave and I have been looking at the nanos. My student said he thought I should get a normal I-pod but I think that the nano might be sufficient. How do you find it? Is it easy to use? He said I might find the screen/ buttons too small but what do you think?
PS- I think I am going to get the pink one if I get one. They are very funky-looking!

I’ve got Spencer learning to play Boulevard of Broken Dreams on the piano right now. He LOVES the song and that’s how I get him to stick with playing, to get stuff he loves like that.
I need to video it and post it because he’s a hoot when he plays it.
that is a great b-day gift! i got an ipod from my hubby for valentines day a few years ago. i love them, a nano would be even better.

Bah, enjoying music isn’t about being cool, it’s about enjoying the music. Like what you like, ya know? I love sharing musical tastes with people though, because I always learn about songs I hadn’t heard of, or songs I hadn’t thought of ever giving a chance. For example, Poison by Alice Cooper, I am totally going to download it now.

Hey, I got an iPod nano too and I posted about it today!
I love the engraved message on yours. Oronzo bought mine directly from the store (not online) so I have no engraved message, but I don’t mind. I’m just having so much fun with it! I’ve got 290 songs on mine right now and I’m playing a shuffle.
Feeling so old - don’t have an ipod! Wouldn’t have a clue what’s playing out there at the moment! I have favourites though - totally love NZ music! Brooke Fraser……. and old timers Crowded House. Gun’s n Roses are having a concert here soon (that is big news for NZ) but am scared to go and find everyone there is no longer of the teenage variety and then really find out how old I really am now!! Sad!
I love Jack Johnson’s song Constellations, it’s my hands-down favorite of his.
I love my Ipod too. It’s something new for me but I’m so addicted to it!
I love guns n roses. My favorite music right now is Akon (I know most people I know personally hate this music but there’s something about it that has me addicted), John Mayer, Johnny Lang & Marc Broussard.
