Ever So Grateful

This week was a blur of Kleenex, playdates, bike rides and board games.
- Becca started pedaling her bike! It was so exciting to see her do it on her own. She was so proud!
- I got my eyebrows waxed and a pedicure! The kids fell asleep yesterday while we were out shopping so J stayed with them and I darted in and was pampered. Oooo it felt so good!
- I have slowly got some things done that I have been working on (aka Thank You cards and Birth Announcements … only 7 weeks later). Balancing two kids and trying to prepare to move from Southern California is harder than I would have ever imagined.
- I was able to hang out with my friends together twice this week! Holly hosted an amazing playdate for Marina and I (we brought the kids too! hehe) Then this morning the three of us met up to knit! It was GREAT!
- I am struggling to process some stuff, and I am grateful that J took the day off yesterday so we could hang out as a family. So we purchased CandyLand and had our first ever Family Game Night! Becca loved it and has requested to play Candyland repeatedly since! (may have to add to the kids games quick!)
- Lastly I am grateful that I am almost fully recovered from that nasty killer cold. It was terrible.
Now I am all rested and ready for another adventurous week!
Being sick with small children is just hellish. I’m glad you’re better.
Family game night! That’s so much fun. Another fun little kid game - so long as you put it up between playing - is Hi-Ho Cherry-O.

Wow, that sounds like a great week and I’m glad you’ve returned to the land of the well! I just can’t believe how big he looks!
whoo hoo Becca on the pedaling! how awsome is that? and good for you that you were able to get yourself pampered! A couple months ago we bought hungry hippos and Kayla loves that game!
It took me 3 months before I sent out Bubbie’s birth announcements, and he is my first.
He’s a doll! The years when I was either pregnant or with little people were the busiest of my life, but they seem to have passed so quick, TY’s etc can wait, your family is the most important thing right now.

Candyland!!! woo hoo!!! Nate got that for Christmas (the Pooh bear edition) and he hasn’t stopped playing since. He also likes Tricky Toby. It’s a shell game (if you’re looking for other games)
Nate could never pedal his trike for some reason. I don’t know if he was too small or just too lazy for it (since it has the push bar) but he’s done well on his 2 wheeler so far.

Hooray for family game night! Here are a few of our faves when the kids were younger…Chutes & Ladders, Hi-Ho Cherry-O, Penguin Pat. Candy Land can get old pretty quick!

Is Ethan really holding his head up that high? (I mean, obviously he is, I don’t think you photoshopped it or anything!) I’m so impressed! He’s the strongest baby ever! Go Ethan!

Candyland is way fun! There are so many fun kids games out there, we have quite a collection the girls love.
