The contract negotiations on this Stay at Home Mom gig, need to be re-negotiated. I am so not loving cleaning the bathroom and dusting. There has to be a way out of those chores (I would imagine working moms have the same chores, but in my fantasies they all have hot male maids to do their bidding … realistic?)
Once I made my back ache real good, I took the kiddies outside to enjoy the nice weather we are FINALLY having! Sheesh, we start to plan to move and Southern California stops being sunny! Becca enjoyed splashing around in her pool, Ethan slept in the shade and I had the opportunity to knit … Life is good (maybe this gig staying at home is not soooo bad after all?)
I am sooooo excited. J has to work tomorrow (not the exciting part, that actually sucks a little but eh whatever), but on Sunday due to a cancellation in the knitting (again not a good part of the story … moving on) we are trekking to VENICE BEACH … BOOYAH! hehe! It has been on my … MUST SEE BEFORE WE LEAVE CALIFORNIA list for like EVER! So we are heading out early and checking it out. I will be sure to take many many photos! I hope to hit Santa Monica Pier too (time permitting!). Becca and I went last year with friends, but J has not seen it. I am so excited.
Hopefully, the little one, that thankfully is very cute will allow us a little sleep before the day trip to the beach! Ethan kept us up and cranky (hehe umm I was cranky and J was the one mostly up except for feeding time) last night. The little one decided nursing every hour at night … all the cool kids do it … *~sigh~* He seems to do this every few nights … the good nights in between increasing so really cannot complain … I am just a tad tired today.
Oh, big news on the war against diapers … for the toddler … Becca has now decided that the big potty is the bomb! w00t, no more wiping out the little potty! Except now, if she is taking one of her hour poops (she reads on the pot … like FOREVER) and I have to pee … I have to wait … progress always seems to have its pitfalls.
Ha! So some kind soul nominated me for a Blogger’s Choice Award, for Hottest Mommy Blogger, and all I can think of is that Rod Stewart song … “So Ya Think I am Sexy” over & over all day! So thanks for thinking I am hot (usually a thought reserved for my husband alone!) and if you wander over to the site to vote and hit page 58, haha you will find the blog listed there! HAHAHA! Although my chances are slim to NONE of winning, being nominated strokes the ego nicely! Have a Fab Weekend Internets!

When do you think we should start teaching them to wipe themselves? I’m torn on this issue, although he’s done it & wanted to do it a couple of times himself, I’m still doing it most of the time.
Do you think Ethan is hitting growth spurts, that’s why he insists on eating that often? I’m thinking so, he’s 3 weeks & I believe I read somewhere that they hit growth spurts at like 3 & 6 weeks (or was it 4 &8)? nevermind, I’m rambling.

Definately the perfect time to hit the beach. We enjoyed Laguna beach today…have a great time at Venice beach on Sunday 
Oh, if you want to borrow our beach tent (basically half of a tent that zips open to give a half moon structure) to create some shade, just give us a shout…we should be home most of tomorrow.
Oh no! I’m going to have flashes of Rod Stewart doing his THANG all night! Looking forward to pics of Venice Beach - so necessary!

Have fun at Venise Beach i’ve been there once at night and tried to return on my way home from San Francisco but coulnd’t find parking so good luck on that lol. Take lots of pictures of the men and their big muscles
I broke it to Jamie that you were moving. He was devasted.. He asked when, about 2 months, “TWO MONTHS, TWO MONTHS! That’s forever.” Ah, to be young. I told him the best pat was we could see you, well Becca, a lot before you moved. He was satisfied. Enjoy the beach. And I totally think you’re sexy.

You are too funny! Oh, and just so you know, I’m a working mom and I don’t have a hot male maid doing my bidding. I’d settle for a industrials female made to come in and take care of all the cleaning. In fact, I think I may hire someone to come in once a month to do the heavy cleaning. I just have to find someone reliable.

Once I picked myself off the floor from laughing your first paragraph - I’m a working mom and would LOVE a hot hunk to clean the house. Where do I find one of THOSE?!?! For now, I’ll just keep naming the dust bunnies that are bigger than my television.
As for little lady’s potty time. My little lady has started taking a large guitar with her into the bathroom. So strains of Laurie Berkner or Katrina and the Waves come from the loo….
To me, your child being potty trained is the best part. Wait till it’s Ethan, boys are not quite so easy.
