Not Feeling Grateful
Pic of the Day ~ Whatever it is, they both are intrigued! ~
Honestly, I am not feeling all that grateful this week. I know. I am a whiny, spoiled brat. I do not like being sick. I get all cabin feverish, feeling stifled and miserable! I NEED to get back on my feet soon or I am going to go crazy (and take all the cute people that live here with me!) That being said, I am glad I decided to participate in the Grains of Gratitude weekly so that I could not wallow in my own, sick miserable self and look at the good stuff!
Grains of Gratitude

I am grateful that we have Disneyland Annual passes for a few more weeks. Not only was I able to take Becca, with her friends to see the Happiest Place on Earth, we are taking a mini family vacation there this week!
I am grateful that J can take Becca to work with him on occasions that I absolutely cannot have her with me. It is hard to raise your children without family nearby, J is always so amazing at making up for that!
I am grateful that although I am suffering greatly from this terrible flu/cold/plague, no one else seems to have gone down with me. J is still healthy and Becca has a running nose but seems to be good otherwise.
I am grateful that my OB’s office got me an appointment an hour after I called, sick and desperate. I barely had time to make it there at the designated time! We still had to wait over an hour, but it was amazing to see him and get help for this nasty bug.
I am grateful that the baby seems to be completely unaware how miserable I am. Ethan is kicking and squirming in there like a wild child! Becca too has been wonderful despite the fact I am sure she figures her Mommy has lost her marbles!
I am grateful that J has been so wonderful and patient this week. Taking my tantrums and whining knowing full well how much I hate being sick and out of commission!
As I mentioned, I NEED to feel better soon. This is crazy, inhuman torture!! J figures it is the antibiotics causing me to feel so wiped out at this point. I am still all stuffy and foggy, it is dreadful. I try to focus on something and I get all frustrated and have to walk away. grrrrrrrr!

I am amazed that you can ALWAY find the good in even a pooey situation. You inspire me. Honestly.
Thank you for that.
Still? Wow, that’s a long illness. I hope it goes away for good - very soon!
Awww… I sure hope you feel better soon. That so sucks, being pregnant & sick. (((HUGS)))
Poor baby. Maybe you’re allergic to being pregnant?
aw Chelle I’m sorry to hear you’re still feeling so miserable! That is great that J can take Becca to work with him when you need it though! I hope you can enjoy the mini vacation!
Awww, I really hope you feel better soon. Maybe all these well wishes will work real soon.
You’re lucky to have a hubby who is so understanding. From his pictures, he seems to be very warm hearted, caring and loving father and husband.
Take Care!
I really hope you get better soon! I too am amazed that you found the optimism to find all those things to be grateful for despite feeling crappy for so long!
What a good list. It always helps to look at the things we are grateful for. Is this a weekly meme? I think it should be if it isn’t! We all need to take a time out to look at what we have.
Hey babe…I hope you are going to feel better soon..Let me know what kind of baby things you need. OK?
Hey Chelle, hope you are feeling better now. Take care!
It’ll pass. Forgive yourself, the world will let you know if you’ve been dwon too long. Adirondack wishes for better spirits and improved health.
Hey, you and I both did a “Grains of Gratitude” post for the first time today. Hooray! It’s kind of nice, isn’t it?
I hope you’re feeling better very soon!
P.S. I love the “Snuggle” picture in you previous post. Very cute!
I hope you feel better soon and kick the sickness to the curb. There is nothing worse than being sick, pregnant and having to take care of a kiddo. I got kidney stones when I was pregnant with Harry. Oh my gosh it was the pits. I had my husband take a few days off work while I was getting over the worst of it. I could barely function.
Thats so awesome J can help out when you’re so under the weather
Being sick when you’re pregnant is horrible. It’s amazing how well our bodies take care of our babies, isn’t it? I hope that you feel completely better today.
Um, that last comment was from Beck at Frog& Toad!
I’m so, so, so sorry. Groveling at your feet sorry.
Again, just so impressed that you can look at all the good stuff and see past the crappy sickness! And what an awesome hubby you have being able to step in and help you out! Hope it clears up shortly!
You know this is totally off-subject, but in high school my best friend called me Chelle and I thought it was fun because I’d never seen anyone with that spelling of it. Now that I’m blogging I’ve seen it two or three times. High schoolers always think they’re so unique when they’re nothing but nerds
