Grateful …
Pic of the Day ~ How Many Canadian Toddlers are Swimming in their Pools in February? Becca is so Lucky! ~
Now that I am feeling somewhat better and the feelings of death have dissipated, I want to share with you what I had planned on posting about before the plague hit.
Every week Michelle from Big Blueberry Eyes, does a post on Sundays, called the Grains of Gratitude, it is a weekly meme from Brady’s Bunch. With all the things going on behind the scenes here, I thought it would be good for me to remind myself weekly what I am grateful for and since you guys have decided to join me on this crazy ride called life I figured I would share it with everyone.
Here is my list of things I am grateful for this week (unofficially since I am late):
1. I am very grateful for the AMAZING friends I have made here. It is a risk for people to make friends with the chick that is going to move away. I am so happy that I am surrounded by such amazing women that care for me (and they have awesome kids that Becca adores!)
2. I am grateful that I can still go on hikes with my daughter who despite her previous vision limitations, still pushes herself and tries so hard. Becca amazes me everyday with her willingness to constantly try new things, even when she is afraid.
3. I am grateful for the wonderful Valentine’s Day party at the park that my Mom’s Club put on. Becca and I had a beautiful sunny morning with fun people, great food and crafts!
4. I am grateful for the beautiful weather we have been having. Saturday morning it was so glorious outside Becca was able to enjoy her kiddie pool! She had a blast swimming and splashing around!
5. I am grateful that I was the only one in our household that was attacked by the plague. Both J & Becca remain healthy! I was fortunate to come out with a cold but not the chills, fever, aches and pains that I had.
6. Lastly, I am grateful to my friends that will be joining Becca and I for a day out at Disneyland tomorrow!

I will have to make a list of what I am grateful for and post it on my blog.
You’ve become a great blog friend and I truely charish you!
Spoiled Becca… swimming in February?!? How fun!!!
Wasn’t it just gorgeous this past weekend?! I actually complained that it was HOT… of course, immediately after that I made sure to slap myself silly.
Oh sure, rub it in that we have 2ft of snow here! Although it’s warming up, today’s high was 39 but unfortunately that’s F not C, lol
I have intense weather envy. I am tired of coating and hatting and mittening up my brood.
Those are wonderful things to be grateful for!
Glad you’re feeling better! Becca is such an awesome little girl and an inspiration. :o) Hehe. . .it’s about time we had some wonderful weather in this part of the country.
I am so jealous of your sunny and warm weather…But glad you are enjoying it!!!
Great list!!!
Swimming! You should see how snowy and horrible it is here right now - you’d never want to move away from snowy, warm, close-to-Disenyland California!
I’m glad you’re feeling better!
That’s a great list!
Looks like Becca is having a blast in the pool! My kids can’t wait to swim…we basically live in the pool in the summer!!
You know, I love reading Michelle’s list each Sunday and now I get to read yours too.
Hmm…I might have to start doing this weekly “Grains of Gratitude” post as well.
Thanks for sharing!
Always great to be thankful of things we otherwise take for granted, huh? Glad you’re OK.

I think it’s awsome you were able to do this post after feeling so bad on Sunday! (glad you are feeling better!) and what a wonderful list you have there!
Wow! You are making me jealous. Wish I could visit Disneyland too.
Your list are beautiful things to be thankful for.
Happy Wednesday!
oh man .. makes me miss summmmmmer .. is she a good swimmer?
Love your thankful list…such a good thing to do!
It’s almost summer here in my side of the world, and I am beginning to miss the cold weather already. January to february are the best climate months for us because the rest of the year is just either too hot or too wet… Anyway, belated Happy Vday!
Swimming in Feb! That is lucky.
And WE are grateful for YOU!
A kiddie pool in Febuary. Who says global warming is all bad?
Hi Chelle,
I am also VERY jealous of the hot weather there, although I can’t complain because we have been hovering above zero for the past week here in Calgary. Take care and say hello to J for me!
I must admit that I have been a horrible blog-reader lately (I sent J an e-mail awhile ago telling him that as well) but I read the last few entries and wanted to say that I am glad you are feeling better now and that things are going well with the pregnancy
How awful for you to be so sick when you’re pregnant! Glad you are feeling better now. Love the grateful list - it is such a great way to look at life - as though the glass is half full rather than half empty. We all have so much to be thankful for!!!!!!!!!
I am glad you are better. Hang in there.
Grateful I popped in, the twinkle in that smiling face is infectious. I’m grinning like a fool. Happy day!
Becca looks so happy in her pool.
Feeling grateful is warmth in your heart! Glad to hear you’re feeling better.
