Pic of the Day ~ Becca the Craft Princess ~

I cannot believe that Christmas is a mere one week away!! J and I were talking and really it seems only like a moment ago that we thought Christmas felt forever away! I am thanking the heavens that the stomach bug was gone in 24 hours. Jimmy Crickets, that was BAD! I am pretty sure in my delusional state of mind my potty mouth had much more choice words for it too! So far my husband, who is campaigning for Sainthood, has come out unscathed by the dreaded bug that masks itself as death.

Thank you all for all the wonderful comments, emails and phone calls. We are so overjoyed to be expecting a little boy! As for names, it is sweet that you all are on the edge of your seats, however we have yet to make any conclusions. Naming Becca was so easy. At least that is how my memory serves me. This little guy appears to be the one that remains nameless until his dorky parents can agree on a name that will not bring him to a destiny of bullies on the playground or 15 other “*****” in his class.

I have been knitting like a fiend trying to finish up Becca’s pants before she outgrows them! I have one more pant leg to finish (ever notice a pant leg never ever looks done it just keep going and going). I have been working away at the baby’s blanket too, only to discover two of my stitches split and now I have to wrestle with it to fix it or rip it out like over half way!!! Ahh the joys of knitting! Becca and I are going to play/knit with Marina and her boys on Wednesday! We like play/knit mornings! I picked up a few books for her boys for Christmas. Awww Marina gave the bay his first present! Isn’t it cute?!?!? It looks so tiny, it is so easy to forget they come that SMALL!

Becca and I have been busy with holiday crafts and shopping. Today we jetted about in the wind and chilly air shopping for friends. We have a few stocking stuffers and food to still pick up. The turkey has to wait until we have enough room in our freezer for it (or close enough that we can start the defrosting!) Becca is getting really excited about Christmas. She keeps asking for presents and has requested strawberries AND a piglet from Santa. So J & Becca emailed Santa yesterday, Becca requested that Santa knew about her cat Charisma too!

Oh crafts with Foamies is AWESOME! Becca loves to stick on the self adhesive stickies to the items. We have made trees, a cat ornament and then because she is an awesome Mom and already knew the secret, I received a foamie set in the mail from Amanda at Petite Mommy! How cool is that?!?!? Becca was so excited to see it! Thanks! I will be posting some Christmas preparations pictures on our Flickr account over the next few days.

Oh Oh! I won! I told you to participate in Her Bad Auction! I received an email today from Kristen that I won the Beaded Star Ornaments made by Krista. I almost fainted! I feel like those crazy Beetles fans, you know the ones that would scream and faint and go all crazy. Yup that is me and MY Christmas tree will be donned with Krista original ornaments! *faints*

Ok, Becca did not have a reaction to the antibiotics. How do I know this? Well I came to the conclusion that Becca had a stomach bug when I was hurling my guts out at 2am this morning. Right around dinner time last night, I got really, really cranky. I am talking full on witch. J stared at me in awe most of the evening. Then I collapsed onto the couch…that lasted an hour until I staggered to bed, moaning and crying that my tummy hurt. Finally 5 hours later I get the relief of vomiting. UGH!

This morning I felt ok. I let J the super hero sleep and I got up with our early rising toddler. I decided to try to eat ONE banana. That sent me back to bed with cramping and pain. I brought Becca with me and she was overjoyed to watch Disney Channel while her Mommy and Daddy sort of snoozed.

J got up and took Becca shopping for the morning. I seriously did not get out of bed. I spoke with a good friend for a while then crashed again. Finally mid-afternoon I ate a piece of toast that did not cause my stomach to convulse. UGH! I have the worst luck being sick and pregnant. I was able after another nap, to eat a small dinner and I am feeling better. Amazing what a shower will do for a person!

As promised I am including the ultrasound pictures. They are up on our Flickr account if you need a better look! I was so upset today, because my plan was to go with J and we were going to split up to finish Christmas shopping. I was also intending on buying something small for our baby boy! Instead I was stuck at home *whine*

Now I am so hoping J does not suffer the same fate. He was so sweet. He got up while I was vomiting to make sure I was ok and helped me back to bed. He is so the sweetest husband ever!

Well after drinking a ton of water and waking up way too early this morning, we headed over for the ultrasound. As a side note, no one warned me that a Tea Party could last until after midnight! I am so tired!

The ultrasound went great. The baby looks wonderful, all ten toes and fingers are there. hehe Can you tell I am trying to build some suspense!?!?!

The technician asked me after five minutes if I wanted to know the sex. The procedure here is that they do all the measurements first then J & Becca were welcome to see the baby. I could not wait THAT long so I had her tell me before they arrived…..

A BOY!!!!!

I totally started to cry and was so overwhelmed with happiness and excitement. J took one look at me when he walked in the room and knew it was a boy! hehehe!

A BOY! I am so excited! I will post the ultrasound pictures tomorrow. My computer does not play nice with our scanner. I can hardly wait to shop for boy clothes and all the boy things I get to do!!!!

Oddly Becca and I went to our book club and there was no one there?!?! But sadly we just showed up like 2 minutes too early and missed the hostess!! I am very tired though so it may have been best that we are home snuggling!
