Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Pic of the Day ~ Busted! No You Cannot Borrow Mommy’s Uggs! ~

Busted!Well it is sure quiet around the blogosphere, everyone jetting off or preparing for a big old fashioned turkey dinner. We are saving ourselves for Christmas, being more of turkey at Christmas folks than in November. Instead we have some bake-em-in-the-oven yummies and we are going to trim the tree tomorrow. It is approximately a week earlier than we normally put up the tree, but gosh darn it having a toddler gets one all excited about the holidays!

Becca keeps asking more and more detailed questions about Christmas. It is really cute how she is trying to make sense of it all. I can hardly wait to see her face tomorrow when we put up the tree and all the lights!

Part of the prize Becca won for being the absolute cutest in the Halloween contest arrived today! Our Walmart gift arrived just in time for me to join the insanity on what Americans call Black Friday. It is like our Boxing Day, starts early in the morning and the stores have crazy sales. I plan on ditching the cuties and taking off to Micheals to go yarn shopping *insert drool here* Who knew yarn shopping could be so lushious and joyful!?!?

I have all my Christmas cards out but a few and plan on sending out the gifts soon. I have some wrapping to do and a few last minute things to pick up and we are set! Just some baking and sit back and enjoy time! We have a Mom’s Club Winter Party to go to and that is about it for social obligations. I so adore not having to jet all over the place! But at the same time this season brings on the major home sickness for me.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend and for my fellow Canadians it is not much longer till we get to feast on turkey, and all the other goodies!

    Cute pic!!

Oh my, I can’t believe you’re doing the Black Friday shopping! LOL I don’t go out of the house on Fri – can’t stand the crowds LOL

Maybe as Kayla gets older and wants more expensive gifts I might partake, but I just can’t make myself get up that early! Good luck on all your sale shopping and how fun that you got the gift card! I’m sure that will come in handy!

  2. Have fun shopping!!

That’s an adorable photo – maybe she needs baby-uggs!

  3. Ow, glad you had the Walmart gift arrived today. And Becca looks fantastic in those uggs! Really!

And thanks for clicking and commenting on the Digging the Best out of Us as Parents, Chelle. The video has reminded me too.

I hope you enjoy the holiday. Happy Thanksgiving!

By the way, don’t you think the video worth as a little gift? I hope everyone will love it!

    Love,

I love her skirt! I am just going to reply to all of your blogs here so I don’t have to do them each individually. I haven’t been on blogger AT ALL, so I am just catching up.

I have a myspace, I will add you the next time idecide to log in. I’m taking a break right now (I got 52 emails yesterday between blog comments, page comments, picture comments and messages) I have to stay away!

I don’t do the Thanksgiving thing either, just because I’m Native and I don’t like what it represents to me and my people.

Congrats to your hubby and his paper publishing thing!

As far as private insurance: I don’t think anyone should be uninsured, but i LOVE my insurance company and rave about them all the time. We have very low co-pays ($10 or less), and everything is covered for us and that’s a big deal considering Aaron goes to Spech/Occupational/Physical Therapies, Neuro appts, and has bloodwork done on a constant basis. He live shis life in and out of the doctors office, so it’s been great of us. But I know some companies are SUPER shitty when it comes to coverage.

Uggs.. I won’t go there. People in Philly hate them and there was just an article posted in one of our weekly papers “Top things we hate about Philly” Well people wearing Ugg boots wa sone of them, lol. To each his own. :-)

Okay, I think I touched on every blog you’ve posted since I last commented, 2 or 3 weeks ago!

Man! I’m jelous of you, I’ve always wanted to do the Black Friday thing. Living so close to the border you think I would have done it, lol! Nope. 1 of these years….

I’m itching to put my tree up this weekend too. It is also 1 week early for us too but like you say, having a little one at home makes it so much more exciting!!!

    Have an awesome day!

The only thing I think is safe to do on Black Friday is grocery shop. It is the only store that is empty. LOL

OMG! You have your cards out already? :o

It seems like 20 minutes is being subtracted out of everyday recently. I haven’t gotten ANYTHING done. Well, I have started half a dozen to do lists…
