Becca chatting on the phone with Daddy ~
Thanks so much for the get better wishes. It worked, I am still stuffy but the pain and pressure are gone!!! Weeeee! I am a new woman!!
The last few days Becca and I have been making up for lost time. We cleaned toys (ugh you never really know how much your kid has till you clean it all!), Becca swam in her kiddie pool, we have shopped and went to the park! hehe!
I had to get a couple more maternity T’s. My Dad will be here in a week!!!! He is leaving Canada on Monday and driving down. I am so excited! So Becca and I met JoAnne and Ryan at the park this morning for an hour then hit Target (so going to miss that store when we move back to Canada) then the mall! Becca was an angel ALL day, I mean we did not have the stroller and I dragged that girl from JC Penny to Motherhood Maternity! We had a blast though!
I even got my hair cut this evening! Just a trim but ahhh it feels good. I am terrible and never go often enough to get the hair managed.
I have a busy weekend cleaning and preparing for Dad’s arrival. I am hoping to go Apple picking on Sunday but we will see how J feels. He may be coming down with the dreaded cold!
I participating in a blog exchange this weekend, so be prepared to read an argument that I would argue the other side! I did not want you all to be in shock! hehe! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! Big plans?
Yup that’s right, you read that correctly. I am taking the day off and I am just going to be sick. I am going to stay in bed, blow my nose constantly, watch bad daytime television and just be sick.

On Thursday, Becca and I had the opportunity to attend the LA County with our good friends Ryan and JoAnne! I was not sure what to expect from a big city, very metro, not at all country, county fair. I have never attended a county fair period. So for my Canadian readers, the LA County Fair is like a Stampede & Exhibition, without the rodeo and cowboy element. Imagine attending the Calgary Stampede (or Lethbridge or Medicine Hat) without the presence of any cowboys, farmers or anyone country at all. Add a some of the cleanest cows, goats, sheep and other random farm animals I have ever seen and you have the LA County Fair! I swear they spent as much time polishing and cleaning those animals as they did anything else!
son and said totally seriously, “Look a PIG!” Dudes the animal he was pointing at … calf! I am not joking! At the sheep exhibit there was this sign, which just makes me sad.
