Becca and I had a very busy day. We had swimming lessons in the morning, then headed up to the mountains for lunch and play. Becca had a wonderful time up there again and crashed for the remainder of the afternoon (in fact so did I!)
The next few weeks are going to be crazy. We finish out lessons, go camping for a few days, my Mother-in-law comes for almost a week, Disneyland trip later this month, and Moms groups stuff!! I love that we are keeping so busy and experiencing so much!
I have been very geeky lately. I have spent hours looking at codes, css on the internet, reading books on it … experimenting with art and design. It seems like I go in waves with my interests. One moment I am totally into something, then eh not so much. Same with reading fiction, I will go months reading everything in site, gobbling up book after book…then suddenly not finish a book for a couple months, only reading here and there.
Do you hobby sprint?!?! Or am I weird?!?!

Hobby Sprint, that is a great name for it. I think that scrapbooking and reading have been my only long term hobbies. Everything else seems to come and go.

I definately go through phases with things…especially food!!!! Sometimes i drive my family crazy making the same thing over and over.

I love that term–hobby sprint! That’s when you know there’s a big crop coming up, so you get everything ready and crop like mad for a weekend, then don’t touch it again for three months, right? Or maybe when you have three knitting projects in various stages of completion because you couldn’t find the last project when the “need to knit” overcame your fingers, so you just had to start a new one?
I used to have hobbies. Now I have Lily. I guess she’s the best hobby I could ask for. Really.
I do love to read. I’m into ‘autobiographies’ at the moment. I’m reading The Dirt by Motley Crue and Neil Strauss. (I have set a goal to read all of his books before summer’s end…he’s a friend of a friend)
Becca is having a ball. I can’t even stand how cute she is. I’m glad you’re keeping busy too..Becca will always have these experiences with her as she develops.
I definitely do the hobby sprint! Somedays I think I have sahm add!! lol
Sounds like you had a good day with your little girl…she is soooo cute!! I have such a soft spot for kids in glasses since my little boy wears them. He actually went to the eye dr. yesterday, so I’ll be blogging about that soon!

I haven’t had the time for hobbies lately, but yes, I totally hobby sprint when I do — I guess you could say I do that with blogging, too!

I absolutely hobby sprint. Right now it’s photo editing. I go between web design, scrapbooking, reading, watching downloaded tv, home improvement etc… As moms, we only have time for one or two things at a time, I guess!
