Leaving on a Jet Plane..
(I look so tired!)
We all woke up at 4:30 am 
to head over to the airport (almost an hour away). Becca took a long time to wake up and was not impressed. I cried on and off the whole way there and then totally lost it when J was hugging me. It is silly, I know he will be there when I get there, anxiously waiting for us to return….I miss him!
After he went through security, my Dad, Becca & I went for a walk at the city’s park. Becca loved seeing the geese and ducks! We toured around the city then headed home. We were all dragging our butts, totally tired from the early morning. We watched some movies then had some lunch. All three of us crashed hard for a long nap.
The excitement was not over for the day. Becca was climbing the stairs, paused to see if I was following her (I was tidying up her toys). Suddenly I here the first thud, then witnessed my sweet angel tumble down the stairs for the first time. I freaked and ran to her. Becca of course was shaken and upset. Thankfully she was totally unharmed. Serisouly how do kids fall like that completely unscathed? Becca did have a really small cut on her lip and just above that cut was red. I totally never want to experience that ever again! However, I have a funny feeling this will not be the last time I witness my daughter take a tumble though!
Becca is missing her Daddy too! She went to a picture of him & I in my Dad’s living room, and said “Daddy Where??”…and a couple times the door closed she would run over and say “Daddy?” However she totally rocked through all her routines and went to bed very well.
I am off to watch King Kong with my Dad! Great distraction from missing my honey!! Love you Babe!!!! (oh we totally talked on the phone and Yahoo already…we are so silly but I love it!)
Oh this is so sweet! Hope it all goes quickly. and you’re right, kids are absurdly resilient. Take it from someone who’s kid is on her, um, like eighth fall off the bed. Bad mommy.
Love does crazy stuff to us
How are ya holding up chelle? Sounds like you’re doing a great job of keeping busy (and still keeping in touch with J.. lol… thank goodness for technology, right?) I think its so wonderful how in love you two are.
Anyway, you’re always one more day closer to being home with J again, so hang in there! Let us know if you need us! (((hugs)))

Awww… poor Becca. N just tumbled down the stairs for the 1st time when grandma was watching him a few weeks back. I guess that’s part of growing up, lol.
I, so, know what you mean, about missing your honey. You will be together soon again.

Oh falls! based on the number of times I myself fell as a kid I’m expecting my own child to be like a comedian staging prat falls. Seriously.

Oh there will be many more bumps and bruises, but they always seem to come out ok.

How scary that must have been when you heard her fall down the stairs! I think it always “hurts” us more than them…and they do always seem to walk away unscathed don’t they? Glad to hear she wasn’t seriously hurt and that she did so well with her routines for the day despite daddy being gone!
