Pic of the Day ~ Becca & Imaginary Play!

Ok so last night after I blogged, J whipped out the PS2 to try the other new game I bought him for Christmas….Ummm yeah we did not go to bed until after midnight Which is way late for us parents We had so much fun. It is a two-player quest game, totally rocks! I was so not sure when I purchased it that J would enjoy it. However, I have searched for a two-player game forever, so we could enjoy it together. Since my online gaming experience I have come to know my inner killer instinct so I am totally into the game too!!

Becca had a great day. She went out with her Daddy, while I puttered with a new theme for the New Year (it is still a work in progress). Once home she played with her new toys (she loves her animal farm from Grandparents!!!) Once she was down for a nap, J and I were at it agian on that game Totally addicted!! Poor Becca got up from her nap to see her parents glued to the tv, attacking giant ants…So she played while we played

J cooked dinner (I am loving that he is only working parttime over the holidays!!) then took Becca out again for a walk. I am so getting spoiled!! Love it!!! Once they were home, we played in Becca’s room. These times with her mean so much to me….

Tonight we are planning Daquories, PS2 & snuggling till we drop!! Don’t you love the holidays??

So I got up just after Becca & J did, and worked on updating my blog software. Spent way too much time looking for a file that, well I do not have and do not need to have & therefore upgraded without it. Once I was happy with the upgrade, J cruised to work, while Becca & I finished laundry

Becca has been a crazy eater lately. She totally must be gearing up for a growth spurt! That or the fact that we cut down her insane milk consumtion finally caught up to her and the girl is damn hungry. She seriously ate like 2 bowls of soup for lunch, plus cucmbers, cheese and tomotoes. The girl is crazy! She ate so much she did not get down for her nap until way later than normal

Becca and I had such a wonderful afternoon. She woke up from her nap, ready to play, read and just have fun. It was awesome not to hear “T T T” (aka tv) every 5 minutes. Becca was so happy playing and doing her thing she did not ask once to watch tv.

J and Becca went out and picked up a few essentials at the grocery store after dinner. While I proceeded to attempt to learn more about css & templates. UGH my head is seriously swimming with bloggy stuff

Just wanted to let you all know that I have Upgraded the old Blog to WP 2.0. The upgrade went off without any issues once I realized that I do not have a .htaccess file Anyway, to all the other wordpress users, it is painless & I love the new layout and options!!

Becca played with her new gear and watched a little TV until we were ready to head out for the day. We cruised over to Ikea to do some browsing. I wanted to get some cord cover/organizers but they were sold out As usual I did find a few things that we just could not live without One was a wooden step stool for Becca to use when washing her hands in the sink! So weird that today was not Boxing Day in this country. Boxing Day is much like the American Black Friday after Thanksgiving except the day after Christmas instead J & I would always head out, not with the intention of buying much, more for the people watching. Black Friday will always have a deeper meaning for me, for that is when I discovered I was spotting, which ultimately lead to our miscarriage Funny how you will always remember those moments.

Kinda a boring day However it was lovely to spend the day together!

The new Wordpress version is out (the blogging software I use for this blog). Upgrading is always a stressful event although it has always turned out ok for me. I think after my database update tonight I will take the plunge and upgrade. The new features (things you as readers will never see) do look fun and will hopefully make blogging even easier! I am also working on some new ideas for a new theme, as Christmas is now over

Wow another Christmas come & gone J & talked about it … this is our fourth Christmas away from family However, our Christmas Day was filled with excitement, joy and naps! I was the first one awake this morning (how much do you want to bet that this is the last year Becca sleeps in??), I made the coffee and made sure all the final touches were on Becca’s Christmas Surprise. As I mentioned I put all her toys in her room so that the focus would be on her presents and the new toys. The look on her face was priceless when she saw the blanket from Grandma & Grandpa Masuda all laid out with her stocking & a few gifts!!! It took a little practise to get her to rip open the presents, but towards the end she really got the hang of it.

We video taped the affair for our family and posted the HUGE file on our server for them to download. Once I get the hang of it I plan on posting some short clips on the blog to share with you all. J was super happy with his gifts (another PS2 game, clothes, a book light & some misc stuff.), I as usual was spoiled rotten I received more ram (w00t geek gift), an AWESOME tablet (you will be sure to see some tablet action once I get used to the software and pen ), a LABEL MAKER (an organizational freaks dream come true! Can you believe I did nto have one yet?!?!) and some other wicked cool stuff. Becca cashed in this Christmas too! She received the Little People Farm (Grandma & Grandpa Masuda), The Pop-Onz table (Auntie Kristie), the Little People Zoo, a shopping cart, a Dora couch and stickons for her room, PJ’s, books, Mega Blocks….and the list goes on & on….Grandpa Rach was very generous and we paid for the Video Camera with his help and the Masuda’s (THANK YOU!!!)…Christmas Rocks!!! We so could not be so fortunate in our circumstances without everyone being so generous!! My Grandma sent money for us to go out to eat (mmmm Chinese New Years Eve, Thanks Grandma!!) and the yummy ham and sweet potatoes for Christmas Dinner was thanks to Grandma Loose!!!

Once the presents were opened and all the jazz was cleaned up, we played with our new toys and enjoyed each other’s company. We were on the phone so much the battery died!!! Three TIMES!!! lol!! Then after a hearty brunch of eggs & bacon….(mmm bacon so only have that once a year ) Becca went for a nap and J & I played with OUR new toys!! hehe! Once Becca was up I put on her new Dora video and her & J Snuggled……J totally zonked out, it was too cute not to take a picture!!!

Becca never did get out of her PJ’s….In fact none of us did Christmas Rocks! We had a nice ham dinner. Americans totally have Thanksgiving too close to Christmas, we were still trukeyed out from that Now it is time to relax, enjoy the last few hours of Christmas….Hope everyone had a great Christmas liek we did! Miss all you Family & Friends that are soooo far away
