Becca and I had a bum around day. Even though the doctor gave me the ok to do regular stuff, I am not feeling up to yet. I am still a little freaked out by the whole circumstances. I know that many women spot while pregnant and everything is ok. I just feel icky about it. The bleeding seems worse today, but I just saw the doctor yesterday and that could have agitated the area. *sigh* This sucks I jsut want to enjoy this pregnancy not be all worried all the time. Two more days Two more days and we will know if the little one is ok or not Sorry, I apprecaite all your kind comments and emails a lot, this is just where I vent it all out.

ARG! I almost forgot. So a couple weeks ago I received a letter from the DMV stating blah blah blah about the car, so I left it on my desk thinking we had dealt with it and the frikin car is regristered so no worries. Well, pffft I was paying bills this morning, spotted the letter and figured I better call just in case……..ARG!!!! The lady informs me that the DMV should not have given us license plates because the car is so not regristered!??!?!?!?!? WTF?!?!?!?! So she goes on to tell me I can not have the car in the US …. blah blah blahh…I LOST IT!!!!! I started to cry, telling her how impossible it is for me to drive up to CANADA in the WINTER while I might be MISCARRIAGING with my ONE YEAR OLD. So the lady totally backs off, puts me on hold and returns to tell me they will give me an extension on the regristration until August, when at that time we can return the car to Canada as we had planned. So needless to say I was relieved but felt bad for the lady that totally answered the wrong call All is good now….Anyone else want to screw with my world at this point?? HUH HUH Come on BRING IT ON!!!!

Ok I freaked out this morning when I saw more blood and a slight colour change in it! I called the doctor’s office and they squeezed me in this afternoon.

While waiting for afternoon to come, I cried off & on thinking about how badly I do not want to lose this baby, how attached I am already to the lil guy/girl….Then I turned my focus on our precious daughter. We played and talked and played some more. It was a wonderful morning. After lunch when it was time for nap, I decided to take the plunge and try Becca’s big bed!!! Becca is such a great kid. She cried a little, and I laid next to her till she totally zonked out. It was so adorable looking at her in such a big bed! And she slept for over 2 hours! (ofcourse we had an appointment this afternoon, therefore she MUST sleep longer than usual ). J totally thought I was crazy with everything going on, to add yet another thing to the mix. But it helps to focus my energy on Becca rather than my fears and heartbreak.

So Becca totally slept till the last possible moment Then we cruised over and picked up J. We had a wait at the OB’s but I expected that since he squeezed me in to see him. Finally we see the OB. He was so awesome. He tried forever to hear the heartbeat and kept reassuring us that it is totally normal not to hear the heartbeat this early. Then he checked my cervix and sounded all happy and said my cervix was bleeding. I was a little confused but then he went on to say the cervix part was a good thing since it is not the uterus or baby that is in trouble. So YAY! My cervix is bleeding. So to be sure that I am not having a miscarriage he sent me to have my hormone levels tested. So I went this afternoon and gave blood then in 48 hours I will go again and give blood. If the pregnancy is ok, my hormones should be close to double in that 48 hours. We also have the Ultrasound on Friday that should tell us more. The doctor was very optimistic though and that made us feel a lot better. I was sad that we did not hear the heartbeat, but relieved that by the end of the week we should know more. Doctor said I can resume all activities except sex (ugh), so at least the dishes will not be haunting me while I sleep anymore

I am so not good at “Taking it Easy”. I am trying so hard to take it easy (the spotting is back, but so not a lot just enough to notice), but I suck at it. It totally takes me back to the doctor assigned bed rest, when I was pregnant with Becca. I was miserable, stuck on the couch or in bed, bored out of my mind, pestered with thoughts of housework and the baby. This time the doctor did not say bed rest (thank god, I mean I have a toddler that is impossible), however I am trying to take it easy so I can avoid that. I am just not good at it. I mean I can be a bum, love it at times, but when I feel like I have to be a bum it feels like a chore. I am struggling today to rest, but the laundry needs to be done, the bathroom needs to be cleaned and Becca loves to play. Playing with Becca is the easy part, I can lie on the floor and play with her, but then I have this nagging feeling that I should do the dishes and finish the laundry. UGH! J is always so supportive and thankfully volunteered to go grocery shopping. But then I am ridden with guilt. The poor guy works all day then has to go grocery shopping? That sucks

On a lighter note, now that the weekend is over, I attempted to get Becca to use the potty again. lol! Well we have mastered the art of sitting on the potty, holding the pee & poop then going as soon as the diaper is back on I am uber happy she is willing to sit and it is only a matter of time (and luck) before we see success! We also attempted colouring with washable markers….umm yeah no…I willw ait till she does not eat the crayons!! My coffee table had scribbles all over!!!

My Dad received his new computer, so he is uber happy. All seems to be running good for him so that rocks!

Feel like some simming tonight so I am off to veg out

Oh, emailed the Doula, we are going to meet with her after Christmas!! So many things to look forward to!

Wow I cannot believe the four day weekend is coming to a close. We had such a wonderful mini holiday. I am so happy that J stayed home and spent time with Becca and I.

Today we were totally bums. J & I never did get out of our PJ’s Becca happily played or snuggled up to watch Mary Poppins. I also got some Christmas wrapping done, and finished the Christmas cards (except for a few that need addresses!!)

Holy Smokes was it windy last night! Seriously the windest we have experienced in California!!! And today….Brrrr It was chilly (not Canada chilly but we both had sweaters on today).

Even less spotting today. I can not wait to see the OB, not that expect definite answers. Pregnancy is often a mystery, although I am hoping only to get good news. And we get to see the little one on Wednesday for our first ultrasound!

I cannot seem to get up enough motivation to finish up the numerous projects I have on my to do list. Pfft it will all get done evenually

I am off to continuing being a bum!

It is funny how things work out. I am so happy spending time with J & Becca, we had a great Thanksgiving and a blast going out Black Friday together. Yet this Black cloud is hanging over me, reminding me something may be wrong. It is so silly of me to worry when the doctor and all the books say spotting can be normal, especially when there is no pain associated with it. How can I not worry though? It is our little baby in there *sigh* Ok must distract myself, worrying will not help and Wednesday is so not far away. The spotting is less today and I am trying to relax and take it easy. Not fun

This morning we drove out to Chino to hit the Old Navy there. They had some good deals on some clothes for Becca. I swear she is growing so fast! And it is cooler here now, so shorts are the indoor attire. I peaked at the maternity section too It is too early to buy anything, since I am so not even close to showing yet Oh I hope this spotting thing is not a bad sign. Once home we bummed around till lunch time.

After we had some lunch, Becca went for a later nap (arg when she sleeps in the car). lol! J & I both zonked out for the two hours that Becca slept! Guess we both needed some extra sleep! Once we were all up we went for a walk then had some dinner. Honestly this is one of the best holidays I have ever had. It has been so nice to have J home. Even though are times we lock horns on stupid stuff, just cause we are not used to being home together that long! Good Stuff!

Tonight, we are going to snuggle up and watch Sorpranos DVD’s!! One of our favorite things to do as geeky as that sounds!

Can you believe it is only a month till Christmas??? Too crazy!
