I am very proud and excited to reveil my Halloween theme (listed under “Coffee Cup” on the Theme Switcher). J & I had a blast creating the header for this theme and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do! The picture has obviously been modified and was origanlly from a picture we took of Becca last Halloween!

Pic of the Day ~ Poor Sick Becca
I didn’t make it to the gym today I am really bummed about it. However, once again Becca has a nasty cold (or something that resembles a cold). I contacted the health insurance people to get the ball rolling. We really need to get to the bottom of all these “colds”. Her eyes are really watery and when we walked to get the mail (I had her in the sling so she could snuggle), her eyes were watering like crazy. It made me wonder if it had more to do with the environment rather than a cold per say. She is a sensitive kid and with all the fires in California at the moment it totally could be agitating her. Her pediatrician in Canada had suggested that she may be developing asthma, however we had been symptom free for a few months then we arrived here and BAM! Two colds in like a month Is it normal to catch a cold a month when your a baby? I could see if the little chica was in daycare or exposed to other runny noses all the time, however that is so not the case. *sigh* it breaks my heart when Becca is this sick. We bummed around all day, watching movies and quietly playing, in hopes that she would recover quickly.

Oooo watch the blog tomorrow! I have a new theme for October that J and I both like

Pic of the Day ~ Becca Enjoying the BallPit at Ikea!

w00t! Went to the gym this morning and spent half an hour walking/running on the treadmill! The caregiver at the Childcare Centre said that Becca was more clingy this time, however there were more kids there, older kids that were a little wild! Ooo my muscles that have been in hibernation for a while! It hurts when muscles are awakened

After the gym, Becca & I cruised over to Ikea to exchange some shelf brackets that were to large for the shelves we purchased last trip. We had lunch there & played in the ball pit. Becca had a blast in the ball pit, I even had trouble getting the little turkey out of there! I also bought her a stool/table thingy that act as storage containers as well (to attempt to contain all those toys!) for $13!! I love Ikea!

Once home, we played until dinner time. Becca has a runny nose AGAIN! Poor kid never seems to get a break. If it is not a stuffy nose it is those darn teeth! OMG! So you know the song…

Anyway, so you totally stick out your tongue on the Mmmm Ehhh part….So I always sing that song to Becca to make her smile. Today she totally stuck out her tongue during the Mmm Ehhh part! It was sooo cute!!! I love my daughter!

So I was lurking in #wordpress IRC chat (yeah I am a geek and proud of it) , and Geeksmakemehot reminded me that she challenged me to participate in the Boobie-A-Thon. I did not really “get it” at first what the Boobie-A-Thon was all about. I had seen a few blogs that proclaimed they were supporting Boobie-A-Thon, however I never gave it much thought. Tonight (with J’s more than willing help ), I took pictures of my Boobies to help raise money for Breast Cancer Research. I submitted the pics and will keep you posted when they are posted! It is a really good cause (& Fun Too!) SO jump on the band wagon & support Breast Cancer research!

Pic of the Day ~ Becca “OOOOooo” At her Bike!

Wooo….it was hot here and damn windy! Crazy weather!

J had his driving test today & totally passed (like we had any doubt ). I did a ton of laundry in the morning & good thing I got it done early! They had to turn off our water again?!?!?!

Becca & I went to the gym today, for my orientation. I am so excited to get started! Becca cried until I was out of sight then had a blast. She didn’t even want to leave when I came to pick her up! I am told she had an altercation with another toddler over some toys, however nothing major. I am proud that Becca stood up for herself! Historically, at playdates she would let all the other babies steal her toys and walk all over her She is sticking up for herself more now! I am so relieved that she has fun in the child care centre, I can work out guilt free!

Once home, Becca wanted to play outside. We examined dried leaves and crunched them in our hands. It was so cool to watch her amazement at this new feat! I am also trying to teach her to wash her hands when we come in. She loves to play with the water in the sink so that is going well!

Well I took the plunge and joined a gym! Becca and I went and checked out the facilities and the place is awesome (especially considering the price!). Becca had the opportunity to hang out in the childcare place while I took a tour of the Health Club! She cried when I left but once I was gone she was happy to play and watch the other kids play! I really think that it will be good for her to spend some time with other people besides J & I! I am very excited about working out! I hope I can keep with the commitment and get into shape! I have an appointment tomorrow to set up a fitness program and they have aerobic classes. I can hardly wait to take Izzy the Ipod and workout!

After lunch Becca and I walked to the university to meet up with J and get all the information about our health care here in the US. Becca totally napped late and I had to practically run to the U! I was hot and sweaty by the time we got there! And then, the lady was like, “Here is the name and phone number for the lady to talk to”…I burned it over here for that? It was nice to see J and we had a little lunch together before he returned to work.

Once home, Becca & I played on the floor the rest of the afternoon. She was in a good mood and very receptive to challenges! She is totally say ing the word “cat” , “hi” and “hat” now!! She is sooo smart

After supper, J took Becca outside to play. She has been bugging me all day to go out there to play! I was so hot and sweaty after walking back from the university I was so not in the mood. So it was wonderful to see her enjoy the outdoors with her Daddy!
