We had such an awesome day today! In the morning, J, his mom, sister & I took Becca swimming. As usual Becca had a blast in the pool. There was a wading pool there and she loved walking along the edge. She would even stick her head into the water on her own!

After swimming, J & I were planning on going to see Star Wars at the theatre, but the dumb asses posted the times wrong in the newspaper and we couldn’t see it today *sigh* looks like I have to wait till it is out on dvd. Anyway, we went to see the Pacifier at the cheap movie theatre…..LMAO I think parents would apprecaite the humour more so than regular folk…..it was cheesey like Mr. Nanny was (u know that old Hulk Hogan movie), same plot just updated with Vin Diesel. hehe

So OMG! Becc did so good with her Grandma and Auntie while J and I took off for the afternoon. At first she cried a little after we waved bye bye, but then she went to sleep after Grandma rocked her and Auntie told her a story. She napped for an hour, then got up and played with them no problems. It was so nice to come home to hear that she did not cry the whole time we were out!

Oh and in the pool today she totally did not cry when she went to Grandma and swam with her a bit. And she let Grandma carry her out of the changerooms to the van. w00t w0ot I hope the stranger anxiety is alievated for the moment.

This evening, Christine stopped by with Sarah and Kieran. Sarah could not be there last night when we went over to visit so they came over tonight. It was so nice to visit with them!! We seriously miss them so much!!

Well I am off to get some sleep!!!

Beautifully Letdown is a really cool blog I came across today that I really enjoyed reading so I thought I would share it all with you!

Ok I seriously love being on vacation! It is so nice to be able to sit back and enjoy visiting the people that we love the most. It is uber sweet that J’s sister took the week off to hang out with us. His mom did too, so we have them all to ourselves when we are here.

My Dad called me this morning! It was so awesome to hear from him. He is so excited about us coming on Friday!! We talked about the weather and the wedding. Also talked about Becca being uber shy still. She totally still ries when my mother-in-law and her Auntie try to hold her. It makes me sad that they cannot share in that aspect of Becca. My Dad says to keep trying but it is so hard to listen to Becca cry like that. She is genuinely scared that she will never get back to us! We try to reassure her, but J and I are all she knows on a daily basis. Sure we go to playdates and classes but how much do other people hold her? Like never….*sigh*

hehe…it is kinda nice right now. Everyone is napping or reading quietly, so I get a chance to relax, listen to my ipod and blog!!

Ooo…totally crazy, back in the early 80’s there was a made for tv movie filmed in this area and J’s Grandpa and Grandma were in it as extras. So J’s sister interlibrary loaned a copied to Canada. She was told they did not get the rights to distribute it in Canada (odd considering it was filmed here). Anyway, the movie has Kurt Russel and is all about farming and lung cancer….anyway lol, J’s Grandpa helps break up a bar fight in the movie!!! It is amazing to watch. I did not have the opprotunity to meet J’s grandpa, he passed away before J and I met. But it is way cool that his family has this glimpse of him forever in film! (I guess the location of the bar fight is a pool hall that was owned by J’s cousin’s Grandpa!)

I seriously cannot wait till we are settled in Riverside. I know life is always throwing curve balls at ya, but it will be nice to have a home that we know we are not packing up right away and leaving. Like I want to transfer some old video to vhs that my dad had with his old camera. There is a quick shot of my Grandpa on there that I want to make sure to send copies to my dad and Grandma. And I have a ton of other little projects like that. I just cannot start anything right now. When we return from our vacation I return to work and I have to totally start packing more often at home. *sigh* Can I just stay on vacation forever??

Tonight we are cruising over Tim & Christine’s! hehe, they are our “couple” friends!! We fit perfect too. It is so hard to find other couples that we both like and can talk and relate to that have kids and understand that J is still a student *takes a deep breath* Anyway, Tim and Christine rock and we totally miss hanging out with them, so it is going to be awesome to go see them and the family tonight.

I am off to read…..relax….ahhhhhh…this rocks…….

Phew, another uber busy day!! We went to the school that Betty Ann works at to show off Becca to all her co-workers!! heh it was totally fun to do. J’s grade one teacher was even there!!!!

Afterward, we cruised to a couple shops, and icked up some bug spray fro Becca.

Later in the afternoon, we went back out to the farm to have dinner with J’s Grandma, cousin and his almost wife!! It sucks we have to miss their wedding reception in August, so Congrats to Jer and Liz on their upcoming wedding!!!

Becca is still playing shy with everyone, the little turkey! But she is talking so much and exploring. I swear we are going to bring home a different kid!!

YAY! Becca slept in until 5 am!!! lol! I cannot believe that is acceptable but anything beats 4am. We had a great day visiting. We drove out to the farm and visited with Becca’s Great Grandma & Great Uncles. Becca was shy with them but we are going out again tomorrow so hopefully she will be a bit more comfortable.

In the afternoon, we chilled out at my in-laws. Becca and I had an afternoon nap while J went out and had guy talk with his Dad. This evening we took Becca to the park to play, but the mosiquitos are vicious here!!! I guess because they have had so much rain, but the blood suckers are the size of flies out to get ya hard core…. Needless to say we did not stay at the park long.

It is so nice to finally see everyone. And everyone can see how much Becca has grown and developed. She seems to be changing everyday lately. She is talking like crazy. Tonight in the tub, J was telling her no and she was replying yes everytime he said no…it was bad but funny at the same time.

Becca has been so well behaved on this trip so far. I am so very proud of her. She seems to be adjusting to new schedules and people really well. She is still playing shy with her Grandparents and Aunt but we hope she will come around soon. I really hope we send enough time at my dad’s for her to be comfy around him!! I would hate for us to have to go home before she could give him a hug.

Becca is eating liek a wild woman. Until tonight she has been eating wya more than she ever ate at home. It is totally crazy. She must be going through a growth spurt or something. Maybe she will be big enough to turn her car seat around at her real birthday!!!

*sigh* It is tiring being on vacation!! I am off to sleep…..

OMG! What an UBER busy day! To start, Becca did not get the memo that we switched time zones and woke up at 4:10 am!!!! It was insane, but there was no changing her mind that it was not time for breakfast! So everyone got up when Becca did and we all had breakfast and coffee together. It was really cool!

After breakfast and a little playing, Becca decided to nap (she had everyone awake for the day so eh, her job was done!!! Turkey!!!) She napped for 2 hours!! J went back too bed too, but I stayed up to read and listen to my ipod and relax awhile.

I had made plans to meet up with Sheila and she called around 9am to let me know she was coming over! OMG!! We had such a blast, we cruised over to Humpty’s with Becca and chatted and drank coffee. She was so awesome with Becca, Sheila would be an amazing mom. It was so nice to see her. We have not had the opprotunity to get together since J & I got married. That is just way too long. Thank goodness for email and the internet or we would have completely lost touch.

Once back at the in-laws, they prepared a nice lunch for us. After lunch, we had a “Pretend its Your First Birthday Party” for Becca!! It was so wonderful my mother in law and Kristie did such an amazing job!!! They had balloons for Becca and an awesome cake and a singing candle!!!! It was so sweet!!! Becca was in awe when she came around the corner of the dining room to see the balloons and cake!!! Becca really did not get into the cake thing. I tried to encourage her to try the cake and icing and she gave it a small taste then was totally not interested in it anymore. Becca got a ton of cool presents for her pretend birthday!! She was very excited to play with her new toys and check out her new threads!!!

Becca was pretty tuckered out after the party and took another almost 2 hour nap. J once again joined ehr for a snooze. Poor guy isn’t feeling very well =(

After Becca’s nap we had the opprotunity to drive over to Becca’s Aunt Krisite’s new house and see it for the first time! Last time we were here they were still building the house! It is such a nice house. It has great colours on the walls and a great open concept floor plan. I totally love her house!

It was an uber busy day and it seemed like we did soooo much in one single day. Imagine the possibilities waking at 4 frikin AM! *yawn*

Oooo Becca totally sat down without holding onto furniture today and is cruising around her grandparents furniture like a seasoned pro!

arg off to get some sleep…..praying Becca sleeps until at least 5 am (totally never thought I would wish such a thing =P)
