Becca and I had another wonderful day. She napped again this morning without nursing *sigh* It is a good thing (or at least I keep telling myself that). We then ran some errands, sent out a gift for Benjerman and picked up some cat food. I asked the vet techs about finding a home for Charisma. They gave me a name for an organization that deals with cats so we will see.

Becca and I swam today too! She is such a little fish. I hope to maybe go swimming when we are out west so her grandparents came witness her water savey!

ACK! I am totally distracted at the moment with the season finale of “Lost”.

Becca can crawl with her cloth diapers on so we are going to switch back when we are at home. Saves a ton of money and the environement too!

I am very excited about the mom2mom sale. I feel really good that I volunteered to help out Carrie. That is what friends do right? *sigh* I am totally going to miss all the amazing woman I have met here.

Ok I seriously need to go watch this!

As you can see I forgot to take a picture of Becca today. So I thought it would be nice to post a “Vintage” picture. Becca has come a long way from the NICU. She is crawling and pulling herself up on tables!! She is also slowing weaning. Today she went down for her morning nap with a slippy cup and a story. It is hard to let her grow up. I was sad today and sent J an IM, this was his reply:

Ok so J & I are going to help out a friend and sell sell sell. We are going to work her table at the mom2mom sale this Saturday! Carrie went into labour 2 weeks earlier than planned so we are stepping in to help out. LOL! I say “we”. I volunteered us, but J said he would help! I have the greatest husand ever.

Becca and I had a great day. Went to Mother Goose at the library, then we went to buy a POTTY. Not that we are starting but I wanted it here to introduce the idea eventually. I bought a used one from the mom2mom site for $3 w00t w00t.

*cries* I talked to Trina tonight about sending sidney out to their farm. I had to stop procrastinating and just book it. After a few back and forth phone calls, the guy (very sweet) at westjet said I had to call back in a week because it was too early to book *cries* It sucks to have to give up Sidney but I know she will uber happy on the farm *cries*

Now to find Chariosma a home……Anyone need a cat??? He is in great health, although a little overweight but a happy indoor cat that puts up with dogs and other cats. He is great around the baby and very affectionate when he wants to be…..*cries* I hate this!!!! I love my animals. J totally owes me BIG for this……Oh wait we had a baby! I guess we are even =P

UGH! I am so tired tonight. I totally put off posting tonight. Usually, it is the first thing I do when I have free time.

LOL! Well it is a good thing we lowered the crib yesterday!! J went into Becca’s room this morning to see her sitting in her crib and her winnie-the-pooh outside the crib! hmm how would it get there? lol! We had a great day today. Becca was in a great mood, we played, we cleaned and played some more. Her new found freedom is amazing for both of us.

Today was an amazing day yet a sad day. My baby is growing up! I am so torn, I want her to gain her independence but I also want her to be my little baby *sigh*. Becca wanted to nurse early this afternoon, then did not nap. So later in the afternoon, we snuggled up on our rocking chair with a slippy cup of milk and a good book…..Becca fell asleep after finishing her milk!! No nursing!! *sigh* This means she could be weaned. We “could” work towards her becoming an independent little girl *cries* How do Mommys ever wean? I am so sad, yet happy that she is able to be on her own. Part of me wants the freedom for both of us, and the part of me wants to keep nursing full-time. If we do start the weaning process I still want nurse morning and night. It would be nice to be “free” during the day. So torn.

I talked to my cousin Michelle today. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy that other moms look to me for wisdom! She is such a cool mom! I can hardly wait to meet her wonderful daughter.

After talking to her, it got me thinking about my mother-in-law. She is so amazing! By far she is the most supportive, wise woman I know. People so do not believe it when I say I have a shy side to me. But when it comes to woman to woman relationships, I get all shy. My mother-in-law, has supplied us with so many tools that have helped us with Rebecca. For example, before Becca was born, she bought her a winnie-the-pooh. This simple stuffed toy has been a HUGE sorce of comfort for our lil angel. I am not sure I would have thought to buy such a simple thing, but my mother-in-law totally knew! Not only that, but when ever I wonder “Am I doing the right thing?” I think about what my mother-in-law would say, and I feel completely at ease with my mother intitution. I know i am very fortunate to have such an amzing mother-in-law. I do not think I have talked to one woman that has a good relationship with their mother-in-law. For once, I am lucky in the mom thing!!! YAY! Not that there was any doubt that she would be amazing — My husband is by far the greatest man I have ever met, thanks to his mom!

Wow! Becca is a wild one! She sat up in her crib this morning. Mind you I did show her that she could =P. J immediately lowered the crib setting!! hehe! So yeah we were the last on the block still on the highest crib setting. But before this she showed no signs of danger! We have had bumper pads in the crib for a while now (thanks to Marz!). I know, I know, Health Canada advises against them, but darn it I would go in to peak on Becca and both her legs were hanging out of the crib throught the bars while she slept. Plus she would get stuck that way and wake up! So until she uses the bumper pads as a method of escape, they are staying!

w00t w00t! Becca pulled herself up on to the coffee table tonight! Until now, she only pulled herself up in the tub. I know it sounds unsafe, but we have a bathmat down (lol, one that my mother-in-law gave us to bath our dog, but hey it works).

We went shopping today. We had planned to go out for a hike and a picinic but by the time we were ready to go, the weather changed on us and started to rain =( It was my lucky day in the mall though! I wanted to get a new bathing suit. UGH! I so did not want to shop for a suit, especailly since giving birth =P But I found a wicked cool suit that is very flattering (J loves it so it is perfect). OOOoooo and then…..we popped into Old Navy (my favorite store) and I happened to spot a dress that was cute and on sale. So I thought what the heck it might fit. OMG! It fit perfect and I am smokin in it! It is absolutely perfect for Trina and Cal’s wedding. I may want to get a nice cardigan to cover up. It is a tank style on top, I have a long cardigan sweater but the wedding is in July so I may have to go shopping again…w00t!

It is so sweet. My mother-in-law is all set up now to be able to check this site on a regular basis. Until now she had to wait patiently until the weekend to see it at her mom’s place. She absolutely adores seeing the pics of Becca and reading the updates! Makes all this work worth it!

w00t w00t, my friend Carrie had a baby boy this morning! Congrats Carrie! Welcome Carter!! Courtney is a big Sis now!!

Wow! The weather was beautiful today! Becca is crawling around all over the place. Her confidence crawling is slowly growing. It was an odd day for me. J came home from the lab around noon, so I could run off and get a haircut. It is so rare that I am alone these days. It felt so surreal walking down the street without a scroller or a backpack with Becca in it. My hairdresser rocks! He is opening a new shop ~ totally looks wicked cool. So if your in the area & need a haircut email me I will give you details.
After Becca’s afternoon nap, we all went for a walk. J had Becca in the backpack. she loved it and giggled the whole time.
Becca ate Asparagus tonight. And loved it! She is such a cool kid!

My dad called tonight, tlaked to J forever! From what I hear he is doing some house renovations. Crazy guy! Always needs to be busy!

I can hardly wait till we go home.*sigh*
